OBS Staffer Connie had the opportunity to interview Pittacus Lore author of I Am Number Four and The Power of Six.

1. What is the inspiration behind the series?

The war that is currently being fought on Earth between the remaining Lorien and the Mogadorians. The war is real. The books are telling the story of it.

2. How does John and Sarah’s relationship progress as the series goes on?

You’ll have to read the books and see. I will say they are still in love and still trying to find a way to be together.

3. Is #7 a trainer warrior?

She is one of the remaining Lorien Garde.

4. What future projects are you working on? Can you tell us anything about them?

We are continuing to document the war we are fighting here on Earth. That will be my only project for as long the war continues, or for as long as I continue to breathe.

5. If you could spend time with any author (alive or dead) who would it be and why? What would you expect to gain from that experience?

I would like to spend some time HG Wells. There were things in The Time Machine that were wrong. I have been in an actual time machine and would like to help him correct his mistakes.
