Kristen Stewart states ‘People Assume I’m Bella’ in Recent Interview
In a revealing new interview, K-Stew dishes on how the biggest movie role of her life has affected her. She claims that all of the changes she’s experienced since the ‘Twilight’ saga began don’t get to her, but is she just putting on a tough face?….
Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson, Or Bella Swan & Edward Cullen?
This unique state of things is what led to Kristen receiving so much hate and venom in the days following her cheating scandal with director Ruper Sanders and split from Robert Pattinson. People reacted as if she sullied a sacred relationship — Bella isn’t supposed to cheat on Edward!
Twilight director Bill Condon commented on the problem back during the scandal’s height: “The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it’s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that.”
Kristen Stewart: How She Deals With Being Bella
Amazingly, Kristen still asserts, “It doesn’t bother me.”
But she also admits that Twilight has caused her to have a chip on her shoulder: “I do think people assume that I’m Bella. I have to prove to them that I can do other things and that she was just a character.”
That has to be the best attitude someone in her position can have — she doesn’t let it bring her down, she lets it motivate her. We’re proud of you, K-Stew! (Via Hollywoodlife)
I don’t know about you, Twilighter’s, but I’m sitting here wondering how being cast into this hugely popular series is such a bad thing? It made your career! So who cares that fans still see you as ‘Bella’? You are her in an essence. You gave her a face so how can you expect fans not to see you as her? Yes, life goes on and you move on to to other things and you have an opportunity to show the world that you can be somebody besides ‘Bella’. But really without her, would the world even know your name? Your a celebrity now and no matter how you got there…. fans will always be up in your business and you’ll have no privacy…. it just goes with the territory. You have to take the good with the bad and I think the good definitely outweighs the bad. There are millions of girls and aspiring actresses that would love to be in your shoes! So just enjoy the ride!
