When sixteen-year-old Travis meets enchanting fairy Lark, legend speaks of a fated union, but his parents disagree. Can fairy legend prove stronger than parents, prejudice and the inevitable parting that must come with summer’s end?
Review:
On Par With A Fairy is a short story about Travis Cho and his family. Travis is part Korean and part Irish. He feels like he has never fit in.
During his family’s summer vacation, Travis meets Lark. Only Travis can see her. There begins the romance between them.
They’re cute and sweet even if naive. Lark is mischievous and bubbly while Travis will do anything to protect her despite Mr. Cho
forbidding them to see one another.
The plot twist was pretty fun; I didn’t see it coming.
I like the author’s style of writing. I’d like to read more of her material. I felt a bit bereft at the end of the story because I would love to follow Lark’s journey further as she tries to learn her way.
The book is great for young adults but I also recommend it to women of all ages. It’s a great plane ride read.
Thank you so much for the review! Glad you enjoyed the story 🙂
