Review:

This is the second book in the series and again I was impressed by this book. I loved the characters as well as the story line. I love the fact that the author has given enough background without overloading the reader, And you know what you are getting when you are reading it.

I love that Merry is connected to both courts, the Seelie and the Unseelie and how they treated her so badly when she was young and now they both need her. There are threats on her life. Her royal guard is at a strong, fearless, sexual leader. It keeps you hooked.’

There are moments, while reading this series, I am reminded of the Anita Blake series. When I do see similarities, not in the story but with the male characters, they are all physically similar, which I find a bit odd. That being said I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading the third.
