Broutht to you by OBS reviewer Kim
Well, I have to say this book is better than I ever expected it to be. I thought it would be good but it’s beyond good. It made me cry, made me sad and just overall made my heart ache for all the good, the bad and the ugly that was in it. I loved the characters both main and surrounding characters.
We all need an anchor in life and so does Ashton but she has untied all her anchors and ran off to a small town to be herself and try to forget the Cancer that claimed her mother years ago and almost claimed Ashton a few months before she left home.
Moving to Woodfalls she found a small cottage and moved right in and started a new life for herself. She found Fran whom she works for in a General store. Fran is Ashton’s first anchor in her new life and the only one that really knows Ashton’s secret. Then she met two amazing friends who loved her for her and accepted her without question.
Knowing that the past is to repeat itself Ashton made a bucket list with her friends and one thing on it was to find a hot guy in a bar and have a one night stand. Her friends think it’s some kind of a thesis that Ashton is working on. There at the bar was the perfect guy to do just that with. So Ashton heads his was and when he opens his mouth to speak she melted by the rich, dreamy voice in with he spoke. Now she’s falling fast and there’s nothing that could ever make her feel this way. How is she going to let him go after she was the one to make this a no attachment affair?
Nathan saw her immediately at the bar with her two friends and needed to get close to her to get info for a client but he didn’t figure on her making the first move. He also didn’t figure on having the kinds of feelings for her that he does. How can one woman make Nathan throw all rules out the window?
Ashton knows its back but she had to finally face it when her father came for her to take her back home to get treatments that she’s needing in order to live but will Nathan be enough to save her or is her illness stronger?
I just can’t hardly wait for the rest of the series. This is the first work of Tiffany King that I have read and was not disappointed. She delivered with flying colors. Thank you for this series I am looking forward to finding out more about the girls in Woodfalls.
