WHAT’S TO COME? POST-HIATUS PREDICTIONS FOR ‘THE VAMPIRE DIAIRES’
As we approach the end of the year, there’s a lot of looking forward to what will come in 2010. We’re doing the same thing here, anticipating what might happen when The Vampire Diaries returns from hiatus. The last episode ended at a potentially dramatic spot (though it would be far more tense if there was any chance at all that Elena would be permanently removed from the story), but there are plenty of ways for the story to develop.

‘TRUE BLOOD’ SCOOP: WILL ALICIDE WIN SOOKIE’S HEART?
Alcide is about to put a major kink in True Blood’s polarizing Eric/Sookie/Bill triangle. At least that’s the word from the werewolf’s portrayer, Joe Manganiello, who makes a strong case for an Alcide/Sookie pairing in Part 2 of our exclusive Q&A. (You can read Part 1 here.) The 33-year-old actor also weighs in on the length of his commitment to the show and why he isn’t afraid of those crazy Team Bill and Team Eric fans.
Will your Alcide be different from the Alcide in the books?
JOE MANGANIELLO: Alan Ball and I had a conversation about that at one of my auditions. I think it’s up in the air. I know that, at least initially, fans of the book will be pleased with my character.

In the midst of a terrible montage of Kyle and his boys getting their drank on, one moment of pure WTF-ness stands out, when the gang attempts to half rap. I think even the crew was embarrassed for them.

I agree with the predictions about Elena, in The Vampire Diaries, she will be torn about Stefan, which will leave her open for new love interests. I am not too sure if Damon is the one who will rescue her from her car, it seems too obvious. I do hope they explore Bonnie’s powers further, so much could be done with that story arc. As for anyone else, who knows in which direction their characters will end up, we’ll just have to wait and see. What are your predictions for the cast of characters in 2010?
If Alan Ball follows the books, we all know what happens between Sookie and Alicide. But Ball tends to break off that path now and again, so it’s hard to tell how this relationship will pan out. As an Eric fan myself, I hope it sways in his favor. What are your thoughts?
Yes, the moment Godric set himself on fire and met the sun, was a tad cheesy in effects, but it was made up for moments prior, when Eric knelt down and started crying for the loss of his maker. That was epic and as most True Blood fans will agree, was the most heartfelt and rivoting scene on True Blood to date. What do you think are the worst moments for sci-fi/fantasy TV in 2009?
