True Blood Wins a Webby
True Blood was nominated for a Webby Award for Integrated Campaigns. Well, the results have been released, and True Blood was the People’s Voice winner! Thanks to their brilliant ad campaign, and the many ways in which the campaign brought in new fans to the True Blood world.
An Interview with Matt Davis (Alric, The Vampire Diaries)
Q: You came on as a recurring character, are you now a series regular?
Matt: “Yes.”
Q: Was Alric a character in the book series?
Matt: “I believe so.”
Q: Your character was married to a woman who wanted to become a vampire, is it safe to say your marriage was on the rocks?
Matt: “Well, I would say not in Alric’s mind. I don’t think he would have taken her seriously if she had come to him one day and said she wanted to become a vampire. I think he was obviously naive with what was happening in the relationship.”
Q: Does Alric have any family connections to Mystic Falls?
Matt: “No.”
Q: Is Isobel as evil as a typical vampire, or does she still have part of her soul intact?
Matt:”No soul left at all! She is as wicked a vampire as you can imagine.”
Q: Can we expect Isobel and Alric to be reunited this season?
Matt: “I would say the outcome is likely…. yes.”
I love Alaric, they picked the perfect actor for this part. And his pairing with Damon is way funny. I can’t wait until he gets to talk more with Isobel. I hope he doesn’t get killed off…..what are your thoughts on Alaric and how it will all play out?
