Emily Blunt Joins Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Looper’
Emily Blunt is joining Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis in the sci-fi thriller Looper being directed by Rian Johnson.
The script, written by Johnson (Brick, The Brothers Bloom), is set in the near future a few decades before the invention of time travel. An unseen crime syndicate sends its victims back in time where the bodies are shot and disposed of by blunderbuss-wielding killers called “loopers.”
Gordon-Levitt is one of these loopers, carrying out his deadly duty until the arrival of his future, 57-year-old self (played by Willis). Unable to “close his loop” and end his future, Joe and “Old Joe” go on the run from the syndicate.
Roland Emmerich teases ID4 sequel: Will Smith is president!
Roland Emmerich dropped some teasers earlier this year about a possible Independence Day sequel (two of them, actually), and now that the content of that interview is finally coming to light, we’re trying to figure out—was he joking? Maybe you can help us figure that out.
MTV interviewed Emmerich back in February, while he was promoting the 2012 DVD, and of course took the opportunity to nudge him about an ID4 sequel. The director admitted he had plans for TWO of them, which he claimed would be titled ID4-ever: Part I and ID4-ever: Part II.
Four New Clips from 30 Days of Night Dark Days
Dark Horse Entertainment released four wicked new clips from the upcoming horror movie “30 Days of Night: Dark Days” by director Ben Ketai (30 Days of Night: Dust to Dust, Suck) and starring Mia Kirshner (The Vampire Diaries), Kiele Sanchez (A Perfect Getaway) and Diora Baird (Pornstar, Night of the Demons).
I really like 30 Days of Night, but I’m not sure how I feel about a sequel especially considering Josh Hartnett won’t be in it. What do you think?
