FILM ADAPTATION OF ‘THRILLER’ IN THE WORKS?
Source: The Marquee Blog
With all of the zombies and werewolves in Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video, it certainly wouldn’t look out of place in today’s cineplex.
According to Deadline.com, the late superstar’s estate is in negotiations to turn his spooky classic into a movie.
Kenny Ortega, who directed Jackson’s 2009 posthumous tour film “This Is It”, is set to helm the project, while “Hangover” writer Jeremy Garelick is expected to pen the script.
I think this is one of those things that should be left alone. There’s a reason the video is so beloved, I feel like a movie would just be too much. What do you think?

THOMAS JANE SAYS HE ‘DODGED A BULLET’ WITH ‘JONAH HEX’, TALKS PUNISHER, CRIMINAL MACABRE, MORE…
Source:mtv.com
One of my favorite actors in the biz these days, “Hung” star Thomas Jane never shies away from talking comics and comic book movies when I interview him. That didn’t change when I spoke with him about the upcoming double-screening of “Dark Country,” his noir-fueled directorial debut, at Long Beach Comic Con.
The film will receive two 3-D screenings this weekend, including a Saturday night screening with commentary from director and star Jane, production designer Tim Bradstreet (no stranger to the comics world there, either), and Ray Zone, the 3-D supervisor on the film. While we discussed “Dark Country” at length during the conversation, we also spent a little while chatting about past, present, and future comic book movies and his take on where the genre is headed.
He’s an actor I enjoy more than I thought I would – what you do you think of him?

Now Deadline is claiming that not only is she being considered, she is top choice for the role by the director and producers. After Nabbing the female lead in the sequel to Sherlock Holmes could Noomi possibly get another lead role?
I’m afraid I haven’t seen her in anything, for those who have, do you think she is a suitable replacement for Sigourney Weaver?

Sourec: Aceshowbiz.com
In anticipation of the impending release of “Skyline”, Rogue Pictures has debuted two new clips for the movie. Both videos reveal the tension after aliens begin their invasion in Los Angeles, with one snippet showing a group of people running away from a giant creature and the other clip featuring a helicopter being attacked by the monster.
Are these clips what you expected? Do you think it’s going to be something worthy of a sequel?
