RUMOR HAS IT GUY RITCHIE WANTS DANIEL-DAY LEWIS IN THE NEXT SHERLOCK MOVIE

Well this would be cool if it turns out to be true.  SuperHeroHype says they’ve been told by unconfirmed sources that director Guy Ritchie wants Daniel Day Lewis to play Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes 2.  SHH also reports that Sean Penn, Javier Bardem, and Gary Oldman are rumored to be under consideration for the role.  For those who don’t know, Professor Moriarty is Holmes’ arch-nemesis, and was set up as the sequel’s antagonist at the end of the first film.

TIM BURTON TO MEET FANS AT EVENT

For the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, it’s a blockbuster event. But for Tim Burton, ”it feels like my underwear is hanging on the walls”.

Tim Burton: An Exhibition is filled with all kinds of material from the filmmaker’s private and creative life, including childhood poems and lists of monster movies; props and costumes; early moving image works; Polaroid portraits; artworks and specially created installations.

And Burton – whose films include Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns and Alice in Wonderland – is spending several days in Melbourne for the launch, taking part in public events.

I think Daniel Day Lewis would make a great addition to Sherlock Holmes. He is such an intense actor. What do you think?

Now if only Tim Burton was on hand for his exhibit in New York. That would never happen. The place was mobbed. Any OBS readers who will be attending this event??
