Source: santabanta.com
Bollywood films are evolving now as we can see special effects, robots, Superheroes and aliens being used as the theme of many films. But is that enough to enter the circle of Hollywood Sci-fi genre?
Bollywood is moving forward with films like Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish, Main Hoon Na, Love Story 2050 and the latest being Kites. Can we really compare them with the Hollywood flicks like Terminator, War of the Worlds, Hulk, Shrek and Avatar?
Bollywood has come a long way and new producers and directors are willing to experiment now.

MICHAEL BAY GETS READY TO BLOW UP THE NINJA TURTLES
Source: io9.com
Michael Bay is slowly colonizing all of your childhood memories and adding boatloads of dynamite. Bay’s production company has just been brought onboard to produce the live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot.
Deadline is reporting that Platinum Dunes, Bay’s production company, will be co-producing the new TMNT movie with Paramount and Nickelodeon. Perhaps this means more forward momentum for the pizza-gobbling foursome, but does Bay’s involvement mean the New York City sewer system going up in flames?

MEET THE ACTOR BEHIND X-MEN PREQUEL’S NEW PROFESSOR X
Source: scifiwire.com
Wanted star James McAvoy has been announced as the first cast member for the upcoming prequel/reboot, X-Men: First Class. According to Heat Vision, the 31-year-old Scottish actor will play Professor Charles Xavier, the powerful (and hairless) telepathic mutant who strives for peace between humans and mutants and whose School for Gifted Youngsters is the launching pad for the original X-Men.
In First Class, however—according to the official Fox synopsis—Xavier is still a young man working with close friend and fellow mutant Erik Lehnsherr to stop a growing threat to humankind. At some point the two become enemies, with Lehnsherr evolving into archnemesis Magneto. There’s no word on whether McAvoy will go bald for the part or whether we’ll see him eventually get into his famous wheelchair.

Michael Bay + Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? I think I’m annoyed by this. No, no, I really think I am. ‘What a strange thing to be annoyed about about’, you may think. And, fine, yes, there are many more injustices going on than this. This isn’t even an injustice. It’s the way Hollywood works these days. And, therein lies the problem. Let’s put aside the petty annoyance that, yeah, knowing Mr Bay’s style there’s going to be lots of things – probably New York- being blown up in a Live action TMNT with himat the helm, and focus on the fact there was a TMNT remake in 2007. So, essentially, this is a reboot of a reboot. Okay – so that wasn’t live action – but it’s the same essential story. Seriously, Hollywood? Seriously? Reboots of Reboots of Reboots ; sequels of sequel…. people who love movies and cinema aren’t going to know which way is up anymore. Is that your dastardly plan, Hollywood?
In other news – hey, cool, James McAvoy as Prof x!(And yes – I am FULLY aware of what I just did there – getting the rant out allowed me to find something good in a reimagining.)
