Review

I loved this book and found it exciting and intriguing for a romance. The characters are well developed and story fast moving, keeping the reader turning pages.

Ross Gardiner returns to Last Chance with divorce baggage. He is handsome, available and the town’s new fire chief. Knowing the danger of his job he wants to keep his life simple but Sabina Grey is challenging that. Teenage sweethearts in the past; will they be able to rekindle the romance and chemistry they once had?

Sabina also lives with a past. One mistake in her teens makes her feel responsible for her sister’s happiness. Ross reminds her of the spark they once had but can she allow herself that kind of happiness.

Then an event turns everything around. Was she responsible for the events the night her sister was burned? Did things happen as everyone surmised? Was Sabina overprotecting and smothering her sister?

With a well-developed plot Hope Ramsay had me from page 1. I liked the fact there could be an exciting plot as well as the usual romance. Kudos to Ramsay! She has put my faith back that there can be well written romances. I will definitely watch out for other Hope Ramsay books.
