Open Book Society wants to congratulate the fictional telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse to her birthday!

According to the books Sookie Stackhouse was born July 1st, in the town of Bon Temps, Louisiana. She is a fictional character from Charlaine Harris’ ‘Southern Vampire Mysteries’ novels, which is a first-person account of her life as a barmaid and telepath. Sookie deals with everyday life of modern vampires, “coming out of the coffin” and she has many experiences with the supernatural community, thus including fairies and werewolves.
