Beware! Possible Spoilers!
Good Enough by Paula Yoo is about Patti, a Korean senior struggling to discover herself amidst demanding parents, confusion, and a totally cute and cool trumpet player. I loved this book so much, so I had a blast creating a playlist with it. SO GOOD. Good Enough is beyond good!
- Sonata No. 5 in F major for Violin and Piano by Emmy Verhey
This piece is so calming, and I feel like it’s what Patti might listen to to calm down. Obviously it’s a violin piece. I feel like I could fall asleep as I listen to this, and that’s a compliment!
- Untouchable by Taylor Swift
Good Enough has a certain feel to it. It makes you smile in a cute way and dance around when no one’s watching. It’s light and flaky, just like a cake… or not. But Untouchable has the same feel to it.
- Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen
No, I did not mess up this playlist. It’s just that the insta-love is nearly the same in both. They’re both really cute too.
- Good Girl by Carrie Underwood
Patti is a good girl, unfortunately. This is where the trouble starts and maybe where the excitement begins!
- Now by Paramore
As Patti develops as a person and as a rock listener, I feel like she might have listened to this one. Now is just such a fast-paced and amazing Paramore song. No way could Patti not listen to Now!
- You Lie by The Band Perry
Not going to spoil anything, but Patti ends up relating quite a bit to this song…
- Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson
I love how inspiring this song is. It’s telling you to be yourself, which Patti learns how to do. She definitely makes a wish and breaks away!
