New sci-fi novel chronicles techno-spiritual prophet attempting to save mankind from terrorism and greed.

On a dark, snowy night driving back from a weekend getaway, Bob Griffin and his girlfriend Lisa run off the road in their truck. When they awaken, their lives are changed forever by the meeting of a supernatural being named Mathew Wells-The Messenger-who enlists the two lovebirds in his quest to rid Earth of terrorism and greed. The Sphere of Devine Intervention: The Messenger, a science fiction novel by Glenn Segal, uses sarcasm and the supernatural to examine modern-day issues facing the world.

The battle of good versus evil is a common thread woven into the storyline as Segal takes his characters around the globe on a mission to right the wrongs of the world. The Messenger proves his supernatural powers over and over again through helping his disciples overcome personal problems. In these endeavors, he enlists the aid of notable icons such as Jesus, Mohammed and Jerry Garcia. Segal said his inspiration for writing the book came from researching various religions and becoming disenchanted with the direction society was headed.
