This was a delightful book and I can’t wait to read more about the residents of Harvest Cove. I believe we have the making of another great series.  Kendra has it all, characters that you love to love and those you love to hate and a few furry ones who will melt your heart. This has everything.

Harvest Cove was the last place that Samantha Henry ever wanted to be, but yet here she is. The place where she grew up,  full of nightmares and pain that she can’t bring herself to forget. After 10 years of being away she is back home after being a big failure in the city of New York.

Jake Smith, the last person she wanted to see is the first person she sees upon arriving and the one person who hurt her worse than any of the other kids altogether. Sam was different then the other kids growing up, she was shy, she wore black clothes and stayed to herself and drew pictures of anything and everything. The one time she opened her heart was to Jake and he just threw her away as if she was nothing.

Now here he is at her childhood home looking sexier then ever.  Not only are those memories coming back but also the feelings she had for him come rushing back.

Jake says he has changed but yet he still hangs around the same group that tormented her all those years ago. How can Sam let go of the nightmare of her childhood when it’s staring her in the face at every turn and his friends still see her as the weird one. Jake is going to have to work really hard at convincing Sam that the past is over and gone and the future is theirs together, especially when Jake’s old flame moves back and tries to start off where they had left off.

Somethings just never change or do they? I believe anyone who reads this book will not be disappointed.
