Travis Pitts, the illustrator responsible for zombie apocalypse Scooby Doo, is selling a series of wild faux-vintage foreign movie posters. Are you brave enough to confront Terminateur or Il Predator?
If it were the 1950’s and Terminator, The Thing and Predator were just being released abroad…this is what those poster might look like.

They are pretty cool. Flat and very graphic design-ish in nature. I think it takes more creativity to design posters as such, than photographing the stars of the movie in close-ups, with brooding expressions, half covered by shadow. It is very rare indeed to see illustrated movie posters these days. The first (kinda recent one) that comes to mind is the poster for ‘Choke’. I know it’s not a supernatural flick, but I’m trying to make a point here. It’s more visually interesting and grabs your attention far better than the face of Sam Rockwell would be.
Don’t you agree?
