DELIVERANCE DANE SALEM WITCHES REVISITED

Columbia Books Examiner‘s Sean Chumley:

This novel has gotten a lot of great press, and is even a Barnes & Noble recommendation. The premise is that a graduate student in early American studies discovers a mysterious key in an old book in her grandmother’s house, which sends her on a hunt to research the woman the key and book belonged to, Deliverance Dane. The novel features historical interludes to the Salem Witch Trials, in which the reader meets the elusive Deliverance and her descendants.

Another great aspect of this novel is the historical chapters following Deliverance Dane, her descendants and the physick book. They add a sort of irony, as the reader follows the physick book and sees what happened to it, as Connie digs through probate records in hopes of finding a clue.

This book is best described as an academic caper with historical interludes.

OMG I want this book. He has talked me into it lol. I love historical and supernatural. Sadly, my must read list is huge but I can’t afford it.
