Cowboys & Aliens, Jon Favreau’s sci-fi/Western mashup movie, will premiere during Comic-Con International at the home of the San Diego Opera, the director tweeted Monday night.
“World premiere at San Diego Civic Theatre Saturday night, 7/23,” said Favreau on Twitter. “Printing tix for 2,000 fans!”
“We’re going to find a way to include as many of the fans as possible,” he said. “I feel like they’ve come out for me, they’ve supported me.”
The San Diego Civic Theatre seats about 3,000, according to its website, and is located about a 15-minute walk from the San Diego Convention Center, where Comic-Con will be held July 21 to 24.
