WOW! that is the only word I can come up with for the first installment of The Black Dagger Brotherhood, Dark Lover. I am not a first book lover in a series, but this was one great start. Wrath, the leader of the Brotherhood was a magnificently well written character as well as all of the characters in this book.

J.R. Ward as spun a world of good versus evil, and love that makes hard unfeeling men soft and yielding. How can you not want want to be a part of a world like that?

The story is strong, the action is nail biting and the love sences are steamy. I say buckle up and enjoy the ride.
I can not wait for book number 2, Lover Eternal.
