Arkham Asylum has us a bit spooked, and not because it takes place in a rundown mental institution full of the criminally insane. We’re frightened because Arkham Asylum is good. And it’s a Batman game. One of the few constants left in this topsy-turvy world is that video games about superheroes are never as cool as the actual superheroes themselves. But with Arkham Asylum, critics are throwing around terms like “jaw-dropping” and “game of the year.”
To make matters worse, Arkham Asylum isn’t just a critical success, but a commercial one too; fresh off last week’s PC release comes word that Arkham Asylum has now sold 2.5 million copies. In sales terms, that’s double and a half platinums.
Not a fan of these sorts of games, but damn this looks fun. Do you own it? Have you played it?
