YORK BAUER, PRODUCER OF TWILIGHT IN FORKS

Examiner.com has a fun interview with the producer of Twilight in Forks, York Bauer:

York Baur is the producer of the new documentary, “Twilight in Forks – The Saga of the Real Town”, and has graciously spoken to me about the film.

Examiner: Whose idea was the documentary and what exactly was your inspiration?

York Baur: My background and my partner’s background is that we’re both Northwest natives and we both grew up in the Seattle area. We have a deep love, and have since we were young, for that area because of its natural beauty, the remoteness and the peace that is out there. So, when the Twilight thing started to come into the picture, my fifteen year old daughter made me aware of a new book called Twilight that took place in Forks. So I got interested in that and as I learned more I realized, as did Jason (Brown, director), that it was the perfect opportunity to expose what we loved about the Forks area to the rest of the world through the lens of Twilight and really share with fans around the world what we know and love from our own personal experience there.

Examiner: Is Stephenie Meyer aware of the documentary and has she given any comments on it that you are aware off?

York Baur: Not that we’re aware. I think that it may be known that Stephenie has chosen to take some time, and so, we have not spoken to Stephenie during this project.

Twilight in Forks is starting to sound more and more interesting but I think it’s interesting that Stephenie Meyer has no involvement.

I’m not sure I understand how he can make something like this without dealing with her first.

Will you be checking out this documentary? Why or why not? What about it interests you? Have you been to Forks?
