MAKE A PATTINSON PUMPKIN AND WIN A PRIZE
www.mtv.com: We’re only a month out from the release of the vampire-heavy movie “New Moon” and a mere ten days from Halloween, and we’ve been trying to figure out the best way to celebrate both of those events simultaneously. Luckily, the folks over at Hollywood Crush have figured out a way to bring it all together and give away some excellent swag as well. They’re hosting a contest to decide who can do the best job carving Robert Pattinson’s face into a Halloween pumpkin. All you need is a pumpkin, a carving knife and a little creativity.
The winner will receive his or her very own Pattinson-centric post on Hollywood Crush as well as a copy of “Scene It? Twilight.”

TOKIO HOTEL’S BILL KAULITZ WANTS TO BE A TWILIGHT VAMP
www.mtv.com: Not surprisingly, given the inherent crossover in fanbase (and the shared obsession with all things dark and morose), Tokio Hotel supporters have long campaigned to have their favorite band — or, more specifically, frontman Bill Kaulitz — make a cameo in the “Twilight” film series.
It would be the perfect role for me,” Kaulitz told MTV News. “That’s kind of my dream thing, to play a vampire. I always loved vampire movies, but I never had the right script. … I had a lot of offers from different movies, but they weren’t the right things. I think [a ‘Twilight’ film] would be the perfect movie.”

VAMPS HAVE ENDURED WORSE THAN TWILIGHT TEENY-BOPPERS
www.wellsvilledaily.com: There was a time when vampires were ugly, fear-inspiring creatures. They came in the night cloaked in shadow … and cloaks … fed and terrorized. They lived in crumbling castles and kept bats and spiders and rats and people as pets and spies. Now they skulk about Starbucks in skinny jeans and hoodies and Chuck Taylors. They have that haircut, the one that says “I spent $80 to look as if I just got out of my coffin, but you know, whatever … I don’t care what you think, mom!”
Vampires — particularly Dracula — are horror royalty, and while their metamorphosis is disturbing, irksome, let’s face it, the teenie boppers we’re forced to endure these years aren’t half as bad as the muck the noble lords of the night have been dragged though.
For example:
- “Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein,” 1948. This marks the beginning of the end.
- “Billy the Kid versus Dracula,” 1966. Howdy pard’ner.
- “Lust at First Bite,” 1978. X-rated.
- “Zoltan, Hound of Dracula,” 1978. Man’s best friend, indeed.
- “Dracula Blows His Cool,” 1979, and “Gayracula,” 1983.
- “Dracula: Dead and Loving It,” 1995. Tough to hate on Leslie Nielsen, but there it is.

9 WEREWOLVES LAMER THAN JACOB BLACK
www.movieline.com: Yesterday, the debut glimpse of a New Moon werebeast brought much-welcome laughter to a world wearied by Glenn Beck likening progressives to slave owners and worries about which network will finally hire Richard Heene once the helium clears. But, horrific and half-finished though the leapin’ lycanthrope was, we have to admit it’s not the worst wolfman we’ve seen. Here, then, from the Bad Movies We Love archives, a brief history of furry freaks.
- I Was A Teenage Werewolf (1957)
- Werewolves On Wheels (1971)
- The Rats Are Coming! The Werewolves Are Here! (1972)
- The Werewolf Of Washington (1973)
- Howling II: Your Sister Is A Werewolf (1985)

PATTINSON: “I HAVE NATURAL CHEMISTRY WITH KRISTEN STEWART”
www.entertainmentwise.com: “There’s a natural chemistry going on with Kristen,” Pattinson told Total Film magazine.
But, despite the success of the first film, Pattinson said he was concerned about whether their on-screen compatibility would return for the sequel, New Moon.
“Even doing this sequel, it’s so easy…I was really worried that I wouldn’t know how to do it again, but it’s so easy to play off her,” he said.
