What is a readalike? It is a book that has a similar mood, subject, style, or tone to that of another book. I am constantly asked for more clean vampire romances like Twilight. Let’s be clear. A chaste vampire romance is practically a contradiction in terms. The following books have some similar appeal factors to the Stephenie Meyer’s series but they aren’t all about vampires. Overall they avoid the spicier elements commonly found in the horror romance genre. Remember taste is subjective so no guarantees and of course there is only one Edward.
Keturah and Lord Death by Martine Leavitt (YA) When Lord Death comes to claim Keturah she charms him with a story. He gives her 24 hours to find her true love.
Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber (YA) Raven dresses in black and hopes to become a vampire some day. When a new boy moves into town she hopes he can make her dreams come true.
Companions of the Night by Vivan Vande Velde (YA) Kerry helps a young man escape from attackers only to find out that he is a vampire. Can she trust her feelings for him?
Loopk for Me by Moonlight by Mary Downing Hahn (YA) Cynda feels separated from her father after he remarries. Instead she finds solace in the attentions of a mysterious stranger.
Old Magic by Marianne Curley (YA) Kate is a loner with supernatural abilities. She senses that the new boy, Jarrod, has powers too but he is accepted into the popular group.
The Hollow Kingdom by Clare B. Dunkle (YA) The King of the Goblins chooses Kate to be his bride.
Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes (YA) Danica, an avian shapeshifter, agrees to marry the leader of an opposing faction in order to bring about peace.
The Silver Kiss by Annette Curtis Klause (YA) A mysterious teenage boy helps Zoe to deal with her mother’s terminal illness.
Never Ceese by Sue Dent (YA) A werewolf and a vampire joins forces in order to break the curse tha binds them. Christian fiction.
The Cure for the Curse by Patrick Vaughn (YA) Warenna’s parents moved them to the middle of nowhere and informed her that they are all vampires. Now she must fight her cravings and she gets unexpected help from a boy at school named Thomas.

Wood eye, wood eye! (Sorry, I gots kids;) I loved to do an e-mail interview. For the record, Never Ceese was short-listed for a Bram Stoker Award in 2006 for Superior Achievement in a First Novel and Forever Richard, the second in my Thirsting for Blood Series garnished a wonderful review from the British Fantasy Society http://www.britishfantasysociety.org.uk/index.p…
along with a book blurb. I only started referring to my work as a Spirtual fantasy when so many readers from the very narrowly targeted market CBA and ECPA serve started enjoying my work. Had I known this would throw the label Christian Fiction on my work, I wouldn't have called it that. Yes, it has a redemption theme, though I don't know of many vampire or werewolf books that don't and yes it appeals to many readers whose publishers won't allow such work to be produced but nope it's straight up general market horror/fantasy/fiction/? LOL
But yes, I'd love to do an e-mail interview and discuss away. Oh and if you want Never Ceese please consider purchasing the paperback version as my first publisher went under and sold out. I get no money for the hardbacks being sold except for the ones I'm selling. I republished my paperback version to keep Never Ceese alive.

Now I want to read it =) Thanks for commenting on the news blog. We would love to read/review/discuss your series. Would you be willing to allow us an email interview for the site?
Do keep in mind that both Never Ceese and it's sequel Forever Richard are both published by a general market publisher. It's simply called Christian Fiction because it has a redemption theme. My work is not targeted Christian fiction though it has appealed overwhelmingly to this market. I just like to make that clear as it can be very confusing. 🙂 Thanks sooooo much for adding me to your list though. Many have told me they enjoy my Thirsting for Blood series as much as Twilight and you can't beat that since Twilight rocks!!!
