Walter “Walt” Llyod

Summary:
Walt and his faithful sidekick (golden retriever) Vincent soon attach to John Locke join his efforts in discovering the island. Walt is eventually kidnapped by the Others who claim that he is “special”. His father rescues him and eventually lives with his grandmother in New York.

Desmond David Hume

Summary:
Desmond is a former monk and member of the Royal Scots Regiment. He splits with his girlfriend and then takes a boat race around the world to prove to her father that he is worth her love. His boat unfortunately shipwrecks on the island and he ends up living in the Hatch for three years pushing the button ever 108 minutes. On the day that he does not push the button Oceanic Flight 815 crashes. When the ‘Losties’ take over the Hatch, Desmond tries to escape but ends up back and joins them. He starts having flashes of the future, which mostly revolve around Charlie’s death. He escapes the Island with the Oceanic Six and reunites with Penny. They have a child together and name him Charlie. Charlie meets several times with Eloise Hawking who he learns is Daniel Faraday’s mother.
