Stephenie Meyer Talks About R-Rating Rumors for “Breaking Dawn”

There has been a great deal of debate surrounding the possibility of an R-rating for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” due to the honeymoon sex scenes and the birth of Renesmee.  Everyone from producer Wyck Godfrey to screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, as well as the actors have weighed in stating that the movie can hold it’s own and stay true to the book with a PG-13 rating.  Now author and producer Stephenie Meyer weighs in on the debate by stating that she’ll be on set each day to make sure that the scenes reflect her vision.

“It’s really a lot about being…in the room,” the Twilight author confides. “And it’s going to be a lot of upheaval in my life, but I felt like it was important. And then also, it’s the last one. So I kinda feel like, I’m going to commit to this for this year, I’ll get it done, and then I won’t do that again.”

Peter Facinelli Talks about “Loosies”

Peter Facinelli recently spoke with The Providence Journal during the filming of his latest project, “Loosies”, for which he wrote the screenplay and also acts.

For Facinelli, who looks far different and much handsomer than the 360-year-old pale and blonde vampire he plays in the “Twilight” films … and even younger than his own 36 years, “Loosies” is a very personal movie. He started writing the screenplay nine years ago. “It seems like eons ago,” he says, “a coming-of-age story about a 30-year-old guy who finally learns that he must take responsibility.”

In “Loosies” he plays Bobby, a New York pickpocket in his mid-30s who still lives with his mother, dresses in business suits and tells his mom he works on Wall Street when he leaves in the morning. A classy-looking thief, he’s amassing money to pay back his long-absent father’s gambling debts. His footloose life is upended when the young woman with whom he had a one-night stand returns to announce that she’s pregnant with his child.

Stars of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” Top Celebrity Fan Fiction

The stars of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse are some of the main celebrities which writers of Real Person Fanfiction (RPF) like to post about, it seems.  According to one source, three of the Twilight series’ main stars have been listed atop and among the ten most written-about celebrities in the RPF world.  Number one on the list is Taylor Lautner (“Jacob Black” in the series), and Dakota Fanning (“Jane”) and Ashley Greene (“Alice Cullen”) came in sixth and seventh respectively.

Kudos to Nikki for partnering for such a great cause!   You would not believe how many children show up for school without even as much as a pencil when school starts.  Check out the program to see how you can help in your community –  child prepared to learn will learn so much more than one who is not.

I am astounded that the speculation and debate on whether “Breaking Dawn” will or will not have an R-rating continues to exist.  It will have a PG-13 rating and you just have to look at two simple facts:

  • Stephenie Meyer is a Mormon who has never even seen an R-rated movie in her life.
  • An overwhelming percentage of the fans are under the age of 17 and cannot get into an R-rated movie without a parent or guardian.  Summit will not risk alienating such a large part of the fanbase.

Peter’s movie sounds really interesting.  I look forward to finding out more about it.

I am honestly surprised by the Celeb Fan Fiction rankings.  While Taylor Lautner ranking in the top 10 is no surprise, I am surprised that Robert Pattinson is nowhere to be found in that list, although I am intrigued by the fact that Ian Somerhalder is on there.  *wink*
