Photos: “Twilight” Pillows are Just Wrong

I thought that the “Twilight” craze could not possibly get any worse than the documentary about the town of Forks, Washington, the location of the events in Stephenie Meyer’s books. I was wrong.

Right now, there is a site out there selling life-size pillows of Jacob (Taylor Lautner) and Edward (Robert Pattinson). They are called Manllow (half man, half pillow) and they are completely sold out.

Description: For all the twilight crazed lonely women in the world, Edward Cullen is finally here to be with you and only you. Sleep with him, cuddle with him, use him as a neck rest, the Edward Manllow is there to be your man and pillow all in one. Don’t worry, in the Manllow world, all men are of age.

That’s right ladies, these pillows are of age, so have your way with them.

Verizon’s Going For AT&T’s Jugular With New Moon-Inspired Ad

Bing has already busted out the Twilight-inspired ad for its web search service, but Verizon is taking things a step further in its latest commercial, which knocks AT&T’s coverage. It’s obvious that this spot is all about New Moon, with an Edward lookalike and a fair-haired Bella. There’s another key character from the film who makes an appearance, but I’ll let you discover who on your own. Although I’m growing tired of the back and forth between AT&T and Verizon, as long as they keep pushing out these entertaining movie-inspired commercials, I guess I’m OK with a little feud between competitors. The ball’s in your court, AT&T!

Twilight: New Moon game to sink its fangs into mobile

RealNetworks has already put fans of the original Twilight movie to the test, with its mobile quiz game focusing on the vampiric franchise. The studio is gearing up to show its fangs once again with a follow up based on the recent sequel Twilight: New Moon.

The game will follow a similar pattern of photo and text trivia for fans to relive their favourite New Moon moments of maudlin vampires and sulky teens sitting around being complicated together, and will include a multiplayer option if you’re able to find someone else who enjoyed this film and wants to play.

You can check out our own Keith Andrew’s review of the first Twilight mobile game right here (he found it a tad anaemic), and we’ll keep you posted on the New Moon game as it develops. SOURCE

Exclusive : Bella’s Dad Drive’s Angry

The picture, written by Todd Farmer, fixes on a rage-filled father (Nicolas Cage) hell-bent on revenge against those that killed his daughter, and kidnapped his granddaughter. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway

Shooting in a month’s time in Louisiana, ”Drive Angry” will be Lussier’s second ‘3D’ film following last year’s successful ”My Bloody Valentine”. The filmmaker is also attached to a third 3D film, the zombie-epic ”Condition Dead”, and last year was being courted to helm a third installment in The Weinstein’s newly rebooted ”Halloween” series (Which I don’t believe is going ahead now, not with Lussier anyway – pity, he might’ve been about to rescue that flippin’ decaying series).

Burke’s other credits – aside from the “Twilight” films – include “Untraceable” with Diane Lane, “Feast of Love”, “Ladder 49” and “Jane Austen’s Mafia”. SOURCE

New Movie Poster from The Runaways

Apparition recently released this new promo poster for the upcoming film “The Runaways” starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. Both Kristen and Dakota also star in the upcoming Twilight sequel “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” co-starring Robert Pattinson (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) and Taylor Lautner.

Synopsis: The Runaways (Neon Angels) is based on lead-singer Cherie Currie’s book ‘Neon Angel’ – a reflection of her experiences as a rock star, but also delivering a strong anti-drug warning to teens and others. David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” serves as a metaphor for the narrative– a slow countdown, a surreal but spectacular rise to fame, then alienation and burnout – a long long way from home.

The movie chronicles THE RUNAWAYS from 1975 – 1977; formed by teenage girls living near Hollywood, CA., and heavily manipulated by their manager Kim Fowley as ‘jailbait rock’ (all the girls were 16 or younger when the band recorded their first album). The band ultimately succeeds on their own merits as musicians, becoming the first all-girl rock-band to ever break into the world of arena-filling hard rock acts.

 New ‘Wuthering Heights’ Gets ‘Twilight’ed

EXCLUSIVE From Deadline|London editor Tim Adler: At one point, Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick was set to be Heathcliff opposite Bond girl Gemma Arterton. And, before that, Natalie Portman was going to be Cathy opposite Michael Fassbender. Now, a new version of Wuthering Heights will be rebooted as a Twilight story of forbidden teenage love with a cast of unknown to give the Ecosse Films pic a new young audience. So believes producer Kevin Loader who told me this is the most exciting spin on the UK classic he can imagine. It has to be, considering I’ve counted at least 15 features and TV adaptations so far, including foreign-language versions made by Luis Bunuel and Jacques Rivette. Andrea Arnold is the third person to sit in the director’s chair already. (She won a BAFTA for her 2006 Red Road and an Oscar in 2004 for her short film Wasp.)

Indeed, if you read Wuthering Heights, the tragic lovers are only teenagers when they meet: Cathy’s 19 when she dies in childbirth (oops, just gave away a major plot point), while Heathcliff only reaches 30 in the second half of the classic. But the clock is ticking. Filming is due to start in Yorkshire for 6 weeks at the end of April, and casting director Gail Stevens is still looking for another Kristen and Robert and Taylor. SOURCE
