TWILIGHT NEWS FOR JAN 23: NEW VAMPIRE, BREAKING DAWN FILMING, AND MORE

ANGELA SARAFYAN TALKS PLAYING TIA IN “BREAKING DAWN”

One of the newly cast vampires for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” spoke about her role as Tia – one of the many witnesses that help the Cullens in their showdown with the Volturi near the end of the Saga and is mated with Benjamin.  The actress spoke about the backstory that she thought about for her character and it turns out that it was very similar to what Stephenie Meyer had envisioned for the character.  Find out more in the video below.

“BREAKING DAWN” FILMING AT BATON ROUGE PARK

As we reported yesterday, there was a huge green screen set up in Baton Rouge’s Arsenal Park for the filming of a scene in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”.  We speculated that they might be shooting the battle scene from Alice’s original vision of the Volturi coming to Forks, but it appears that it was only a Volturi-centric scene being shot.  On Location Vacations reports that one of their followers advised them via Twitter that they were filming “some Volturi scenes” at the park.

Baton Rouge’s WBRZ reported on the shoot and confirmed that it was, in fact, a shoot for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” and spoke with several fans who were hanging around the park with the hopes of spotting one of the actors.

TWILIGHT CAST SIGNS “ECLIPSE” DVD FOR ALS AUCTION

Several members of the Twilight Saga cast signed a DVD copy of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” for a charity auction to benefit the Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter of the ALS Association.  The DVD was signed by most of the main characters as well as members of the Volturi and was auctioned at the Fire and Ice Gala held last night at Boudreaux’s in Baton Rouge.

What do you think of the story on Angela Sarafyan (“Tia”)?  Were you surprised by the comment of thinking that the cast would be stuck up?  I’m not really sure why her backstory would be so important because she is such a minor character.  In fact, many people can’t recall that she was even mentioned.  What do you think about it?

Did any of you try to visit the outdoor set in Baton Rouge?  If so, were you able to see anything?  We’d love to hear your story if you have something to share.

I have to say that I’m jealous of whoever ended up with the signed DVD.  That would make an awesome addition to any fan’s collection!
