OBS SPEAKS OUT: MUST-SEE LIST ‘NEW MOON ACTOR EDITION’
Author: Chris54 | Filed under: Must See, News BlogOBS staff members have complied a list of movies and TV shows that actors/actresses from the upcoming flick ‘New Moon’ starred in. We think these shows and movies are definietly must-see, especailly to warm up to ‘New Moon’! This is just ONE of the awesome features in our ‘New Moon November’!
Rachelle Levefre
Movie name: Do you know me 2009 (Caro’s Pick)
Review: Ellie Carter is recently graduated and has it all. While celebrating with friend and boyfriend, she comes across a milk carton with a picture of a missing child that looks a lot like her. As a prank, they call the toll free number and she realizes that this person could be her. The more she finds out, the closer she gets to getting herself and beloved ones killed. This movie had intense scenes, different from seeing her as Victoria, but a good movie.
Review: The week before he returns to school for his senior year, popular High School jock Tommy Dawkins is bitten and turned into a werewolf. The only person Tommy Dawkins can turn to for help is the school nerd and Goth Fantasy Guild President Merton J Dingle. Now Tommy & Merton while still looking for a cure for Tommy’s condition fight a whole slew of baddies in Pleasantville including Mummies, Vampires, 50’s Bullies, Witches. I mostly remember Rachelle from this show, when I saw that she would play Victoria, I was happy, she definitely understood the genre.
Movie Name: Untraceable 2008 (Dawn’s Pick)
Review: Billy Burke plays Detective Eric Box. It’s a race against the clock as they try to figure out the identity of the man who is torturing/killing people and putting it on the internet. Although it’s graphic and sickening at times, it’s an interesting movie and definitely worth seeing.
Movie Name: Fracture 2007
Review: Fracture is one of my all time favorites. Billy Burke is perfect as Lt. Robert ‘Rob’ Nunally, the man having an affair with Ted Crawford’s wife. Detective Nunally is called to the scene of a crime, where he finds his lover shot by her husband. Despite confessing, Ted Crawford wiggles his way out of it. Sadly Nunally dies at the end, but his character plays a pivotal part in in the movie.
Jaime Campbell Bower
Movie Name: Sweeny Todd 2007 (Erin’s Pick)
Review: You’re probably not the least but interested in this if you don’t like blood, but just to be safe: this is a bloody movie. But it’s a well done adaptation from the stage, and actors you didn’t know could sing do an amazing job. Jamie Campbell Bower actually has an amazing voice, and you worry about his Anthony getting involved with Sweeney from the get go. With Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, you know it’ll be well acted. Funny and incredibly morbid blend well together; just don’t see it if you’re going to be eating soon.
Jackson Rathbone
TV Show: Criminal Minds 2009 (Chris’s pick)
Review: Jackson gave an amazing performance in this drama tv series. He was the killer in this episode, but with a multiple personailty disorder, his ‘normal’ side, was a scared young guy that could be very innocent, his counterpart was a female with a nasty lust for vengence. He/She takes on young good looking men, that are the typical jerks. Jackson really protrayed the tormented character to a ‘T’, felt so real, and made me see that this young man is a fantastic actor.

LAINEYGOSSIP EXCLUSIVE: XAVIER SAMUEL SHOOTS OPENING SCENE OF ECLIPSE???
Author: Chris54 | Filed under: Movie News, News BlogFrom laineygossip.com
Here’s a juicy detail:
I’m told exclusively that Xavier is working on what’s currently intended (at press time) to be the OPENING SCENE in Eclipse. “Riley” in human form is being terrorised down an alley in Seattle pursued by a sinister shadow which turns out to be “Victoria”. He cannot outrun her, she attacks him, and as you can see from the exclusive video below (from PUNKD Images) he writhes in pain from being bitten.
Major coup for Xavier, non? To open the movie? Unless of course they change their minds in post. So far however, it seems as though Hollywood’s artistic interpretation of Stephenie Meyer’s drivel has far exceeded the source material. Xavier’s expanded role is a great example.

WOW! What a way to open up Eclipse (my personal favorite book)!! David is going to blow us away with this one, if this is any clue as to how the movie will go!
What do you think about the scene? Would you like to see it as the opening scene of the movie? What levels do you think David Slade is going to take this movie too?

NEW MOON BOOK CLUB: CHAPTER 15 – PRESSURE
Author: Dawn | Filed under: Book Club, News BlogChapter 15 Pressure
By: Libby
Summary:
Bella awakes to another spring break in Forks, last year at this time she was being hunted by James and this year it’s Victoria; she’s hoping this isn’t going to become a regular thing. She heads down to La Push and finds herself mostly wandering the beach alone to keep Jake’s secret from Charlie since he is out patrolling with the pack. Jacob is sorry for leaving her alone so much, but while Victoria is out there the wolves are on red alert. When Jacob walks the beach with Bella they always hold hands – Bella realizes how that looks to others and knows Jake would love for that to be the case as well. Bella has work on Tuesday and Mike notices Jacob has followed her and asks if she’s dating him; she replies that they’re just friends- best friends. Tuesday night Sam, Emily and Charlie come over to Billy’s; Jacob and Bella leave early while the adults are talking and head to the garage.
Questions for consideration:
Is there something you noticed in this chapter that you’d like to discuss with the book club?
Did you agree with Mike when he said girls are cruel? Do you think Bella is being cruel to Jake by acting the way she does with him?
Is there anything about this chapter you were disappointed with?
Were you surprised by how open Bella and Jake are now?
Did someone or something in this chapter catch you by surprise?
Do you think the wolves have a chance against Victoria? That is, if they can catch up with her.
Did you notice any particular symbolism or little detail you have never noticed before while rereading this chapter?
What did you think of Bella’s decision to jump off the cliff by herself?
What is your favorite quote from this chapter?
After she jumped off the cliff and saw Edward, did you honestly think she was going to die?

cinemablend.com: BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD TO REPLACE RACHELLE LEFEVRE AS VICTORIA
Author: Dawn | Filed under: Movie News, News BlogFor many of its actors, the Twilight series has become a meal ticket– no one had heard of Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, Cam Gigandet etc. before they got cast as vampires and werewolves. But apparently Rachelle Lefevre will be paying the bills from elsewhere. The actress playing evil vampire Victoria in the first two films will be moving on to other projects, and Bryce Dallas Howard will be taking her place.
The casting seems like a strange move for the Twilight franchise, which has hired a bunch of minor actors and signed them into four-movie projects for presumably no money. Howard, though not as big a name as she was back in the Village days, is fairly well-known in her own right.

Ack, I am a little upser by this news. I really like Rachelle Lefevre. I am disappointed to see her leave the Twilight Saga.
Do you think Bryce Dallas Howard will make a good Victoria? Can you think of a better actress for the part? If so, who?
