Yay, go Inception! And, I love the names on the advisory board – I love almost everything those writers/directors do – and it’s quite cool that they endorsed those particular shows and movies.

Douglas Adams returns to television with new Dirk Gently show

io9.com: Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy creator Douglas Adams’ other great work of anarchic science fiction, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, comes to the BBC this fall/winter, as a one-hour pilot. But what happens if Dirk gets an ongoing series?

From the sound of things, the first 60-minute Dirk Gently episode will be an adaptation, at least in part, of the first book — the only plot summary so far is that Dirk tries “to solve the disappearance of a cat from an old lady’s house.” It’s being shown on BBC4 — not exactly the most high-profile channel, it must be said — and the script is written by Howard Overman, creator of Misfits and Vexed.

Two hot promo posters for Vampire Diaries 2nd season

blastr.com: The CW really wants to make sure we tune in when The Vampire Diaries returns. First they teased us with news that Kevin Williamson would be introducing a gay character this season. Now along come two smoldering-hot ads to remind us of the eye candy the show has in store.

Allison Miller Signs on For ‘Terra Nova’

www.craveonline.com: Although Fox’s “Terra Nova” was pushed back until next year, production on the series is beginning to pick up.

Allison Miller has been cast in “Terra Nova,” according to a report in Variety. Miller has previously appeared in “Cold Case,” “CSI: New York,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Boston Legal” and “Kings.” She is perhaps best known for her roles in the films “17 Again” and “Blood: The Last Vampire.”

Jason O’Mara (“Life on Mars”) was previously cast as the lead character, Jim Shannon, a man who flees into the prehistoric past with his wife and two children in order to save themselves and the rest of humanity from extinction in the year 2149. Unfortunately, their lives are soon threatened by several dangerous and carnivorous dinosaurs.

‘Conan’ Star Stephen Lang Confirms Supernatural Story Elements

splashpage.mtv.com: No offense to Jason Momoa and his bulging biceps, but perhaps the most intriguing photos to trickle out from the “Conan” set in Bulgaria earlier this year were not focused on the Cimmerian warrior. Rather, what captured our attention were a series of pics that showed a ghost-white creature in the midst of acrobatic battle with Conan. We didn’t know who or what this freaky-looking figure was, but we knew it couldn’t be human.

Did this mean “Conan” would incorporate supernatural elements, as much of Robert E. Howard’s source material does? Well, we know now that the answer is “Yes,” thanks to a conversation with co-star Stephen Lang.

Emmy Countdown: We Pick Our Fave Shows (‘True Blood’! ‘Glee’! ‘Friday Night Lights’!) And Actors!

hollywoodcrush.mtv.com: This year there are so many contenders to love in both the comedic and dramatic categories, we had to give kudos to the actors and shows that kept us glued to our sets. Here are some of our faves, let us know if you agree!

Of course, some of our favorite dramas are up for Emmy’s on Sunday night too. In the Outstanding Drama Series category there are four amazing shows that we love: “True Blood” (no love for the actors to be found this year, so maybe some of our favorite sexy vampires will go home with the glory here), “Dexter,” “Mad Men,” and the dearly departed “LOST.”

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer’s True Blood Costar Reveals His Musical Wedding Gift!

www.popsugar.com: Todd Lowe plays sweetheart Terry Bellefleur on True Blood and yesterday we chatted with him at Kari Feinstein’s Emmy Style Lounge in Beverly Hills. The actor shared his amazement at the paparazzi madness surrounding Anna and Stephen’s wedding last weekend and told us about his special gift for the newlyweds. While the show’s resident nice guy insisted that he’s sworn to secrecy on the upcoming finale, he did weigh in on what’s to come next season and whether he might be the next male castmember to go shirtless. Here’s more:

PopSugar: This was a big weekend for Anna and Stephen. Were you at the wedding?
Todd Lowe: I did! I have a band and my band played there. . . my playing for them was my gift. . . This was my first time dealing with paparazzi in helicopters and boats. We saw them down standing on the beach and we thought they were surfers waiting for the right tide, and it’s like, no, they all have cameras with amazing, high-powered lenses.

I loved the new Vampire Diaries promo posters. It looks like Nina is more in a Katherine character than Elena. Don’t you think? Still, I can’t wait for the new season to start! What did you think of the new posters? Would you have liked to see more with different cast members?

Are you looking forward to seeing Terra Nova?

Are you a Conan fan? What did you think of that interview?

Will you be seeing the Emmy’s this Sunday? Which TV shows would you give the Emmy to?

I’m a Gilmore Girls fan, so since the moment I saw Todd Lowe in True Blood I was amazed to see him there. He totally change from one character to the other. And if there’s more fans like me, you would remember that he used to have a band there, so I already new about that hidden talent. It was so sweet from him to play as a gift. I guess you can enjoy the music better if your friend is playing :) What did you think of that?

Bill Compton’s head-turning (literally) between-the-sheets moment with his maker Lorena, and Sheriff Eric Northman’s steamy naked staking of Talbot all raised headlines, eyebrows and left viewers slack-jawed, but the scene that made the biggest waves among the “Truebie” community was entirely clothed. That moment was claimed Aug. 15 by Mississippi vampire king Russell Edgington, played in a deliciously complex fashion by the remarkable Denis O’Hare.

Alexander Skarsgard Doesn’t Wear a Sock During Nude Scenes

via Us Weekly
Photobucket
The cast of HBO’s True Blood not only strip down for the new Rolling Stone — they also bare all about shooting the show’s racy sex scenes.

Says Alexander Skarsgard (who plays sexy vamp Eric): “I don’t want a sock around it, that feels ridiculous. If we’re naked in the scene, then I’m naked. I’ve always been that way.”

Anna Paquin says she covers up — somewhat. She reveals that she wears a “patch” – a thong-like attire with the sides cut off – while filming nude scenes as her character Sookie Stackhouse.

As for her costar (and real-life fiance) Stephen Moyer (who plays Sookie’s vamp love Bill Compton)? He wears a sock on set — out of consideration for others

Getting Lost with Damon Lindelof and ‘Heroes’ creator Tim Kring

By Dennis Nishi at The Wall Street Journal
Photobucket
Tucked between the Porn Star Guide to Great Sex and a coffee table book on Vanessa Del Rio, Tim Kring (”Heroes”) and Damon Lindelof (”Lost”) put on a show for eager fans at Book Soup in Hollywood Tuesday night. They were there to promote and sign copies of Kring’s first novel “Shift,” which was released last week by Crown Publishing. They also chatted about their careers and future plans. The two writers had previously worked together on the now defunct NBC series “Crossing Jordan,” which Kring created in 2001. Lindelof was a writer on the show for three years before he left to work with J.J. Abrams on “Lost.”

From then on, Kring’s interest in the supernatural became a reoccurring theme in his writing and he went on to write and/or produce “Teen Wolf Too,” “Chicago Hope,” “Providence,” “Crossing Jordan” and most recently, “Heroes”. In regards to the later, both denied any implicit plot connections between “Lost” and “Heroes,” though Kring did say that the two shows were first cousins thematically. Lindelof added that the shows were actually first cousins that had sex with each other regularly.

Denis O’Hare Exclusive Interview TRUE BLOOD

Source: collider.com

On Season 3 of the hit HBO television series True Blood, actor Denis O’Hare plays Russell Edgington, the flamboyant and deadly vampire king of Mississippi. As one of the oldest and most commanding vampires on the continent, the King is both terrifying and dangerous, with little regard for others, unless they benefit him, in some way.

After the shocking events of the last episode, Episode 9, “Everything is Broken,” sees a grief-stricken Russell vow revenge against his foes, vampire and human. His actions will make him a very different character, for the remainder of Season 3. In a recent interview, Denis O’Hare spoke exclusively to Collider about how he was offered this role on the series without having to audition, developing the look and sound of the character, working with this incredibly talented cast and getting used to talking with fangs.

He also gave some hints as to what viewers can expect for the rest of the season, revealed that his storyline is definitely left open to return for Season 4 and talked about his role as a Roman soldier in the upcoming feature film The Eagle of the Ninth, which he had been shooting in Budapest when he was cast on True Blood. Hit the jump to read all about it.

Source: aceshowbiz.com

HBO gave away two more clips of the upcoming “True Blood” episode which has one thing in common, women’s complaint. Sookie is not pleased by the way things are so not normal between her and Bill while Arlene scolds Terry for taking the problem lightly.

In the first clip, Sookie works with Bill to clean up a body in her house while saying “Normal couples do not do this, Bill Compton.” The vampire snaps back, “What would you rather be doing? Sittin’ on the sofa, watching television?” Sookie answers, “Just once I’d like to not find a dead body in my house. Is that asking too much?”

IS THE BEING HUMAN SET HAUNTED?

Source: www.bbc.co.uk

It’s Friday 13th and we have some strange news… It seems the new Being Human house is haunted. And we’re not joking.

On a recent set visit the BH Blog Team got a lot more than we bargained for when we uncovered a story that has been spooking the cast for weeks. It seems an unidentified figure has appeared three times, interrupting shots and even pushing a coffee cup across the room. Russell and several members of the crew are convinced that building is haunted, while Aidan is the most vocal of the non-believers.

Sookie wakes up to find Bill standing next to her. Still freaked out by what happened in the back of the van, she is sent in to a screaming frenzy. Tara, Jason, and Alcide tell Bill to leave, but Sookie stops them, she feels that her and Bill need to talk about what happened. When they are finally alone, Bill looks a little appalled that Sookie is afraid of him now. Sook understands that Bill couldn’t control himself when he was attacking her, but she doesn’t know if she can ever forgive him.  Bill also understands this, so he lets Sookie go. All he ever wanted was for her to have a good life, where she could grow old with someone who would also grow old with her. They say their ‘I love yous’ and then part ways.

Sophie Ann begins to move in to Russel’s house, complaining the whole time. Which upsets Talbot, the King starts talking about how he killed the Magister, this makes things even worse with Talbot. Debbie Pelt comes to the King and asks permission to kill Sookie, while the King thinks it is a good idea. At the moment it isn’t, he needs her too much right now. Debbie seems satisfied with his answer and leaves. But Eric believes it would be a very bad idea to bring Sookie in to the picture right now, because Russel is going to be in a lot of trouble soon. Russel thinks differently though, he thinks Sookie just might be the ticket he needs, a secret weapon. Eric’s comment about Sookie has the King believing Eric may turn on him just like he did with his queen, but Eric puts on a good show and convinces the King otherwise.

I liked this episode, I don’t really care for the ending with Bill and Sookie, I am so tired of them now. Bring on the Eric is all I have to say.

Oh I like Eric’s revenge though :) I wonder if that is the just the start of it though, does he have anything else planned?

Okay what is up with the “Be Safe” line at the beginning of the show, I could not stop laughing it just reminded my of Edward saying that to Bella in Twilight. Haha

Anyways what are your thoughts on this Episode?
