Star Trek (2009)

Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi (PG-13)

The fate of the galaxy rests in the hands of bitter rivals. One, James Kirk, is a delinquent, thrill-seeking Iowa farm boy. The other, Spock, a Vulcan, was raised in a logic-based society that rejects all emotion. As fiery instinct clashes with calm reason, their unlikely but powerful partnership is the only thing capable of leading their crew through unimaginable danger, boldly going where no one has gone before. The human adventure has begun again.

Thirst (2009)

Thriller, Horror (R)

Song Kang-ho, Shin Ha-kyun, and Kim Ok-bin star in Oldboy director Park Chan-wook’s frightener concerning a priest whose life takes a turn for the worst after he participates in a medical experiment to find a cure for a deadly disease.

The Best of Star Trek: The Original Series, Vol. 2 (1999)

Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi (Not Rated)

This disc contains two early episodes from the continuingly popular science-fiction series Star Trek. “Mudd’s Women” and “The Enemy Within” are both presented in standard full-frame transfers that preserve the original broadcast aspect ratio of 1.33:1. Closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include the original broadcast trailers. This disc will be of interest primarily to Trekkies, and they will be quite satisfied with Paramount’s work on this release.

So I’m really looking forward to Star Trek. I never saw it in theaters, but I heard really good things about it. Did you see it in theaters or are you going to buy it and watch it for the first time like me?
