Evan Rachel Wood’s out as Spider-Man’s Mary Jane. But who’s in?
scifiwire.com: That on-again, off-again Spider-Man Broadway musical originally meant to open Jan. 16, 2010? Now one of its intended stars is off the project, but even so, the creative team has publicly vowed to have the show up and running sometime this year.
Evan Rachel Wood, who back in June was telling us that the production was going to be “a crazy rock ‘n’ roll circus show,” has dropped out of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Variety reported.
Wood was supposed to have played Mary Jane opposite Reeve Carney as Peter Parker and Alan Cumming as the Green Goblin.

Chloe Moretz on ‘Let Me In’ and Its ‘Unglamorous’ Vampires
www.firstshowing.net: Following in the footsteps of other child actors attacking mature subject matter, 13 year-old Chloe Moretz is awaiting the release of her turn as Hit Girl in the comic book adaptation Kick-Ass, and then next she’ll be seen in Matt Reeves’ Let Me In, the remake of the highly praised Swedish vampire film Let the Right One In. As we’ve already seen her as Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s wise-beyond-her-years younger sister in 500 Days of Summer, we know she’s got a knack for adult-oriented material, and recently she sat down with Movieline to discuss her challenging career and how Let Me In approaches vampires. You’ve gotta hear what she said.
In what’s probably the best move she could’ve made, Moretz still hasn’t watched Let the Right One In. She discusses how her and Matt Reeves’ approach to vampires is different than all the other movies out there.

Christopher Nolan reveals his plans for rebooting Superman
scifiwire.com: The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan, who will “godfather” a new film version of Superman, is speaking for the first time about the project, remaining coy about some details and offering up his take on the venerable franchise. He also confirmed that Dark Knight story guy David S. Goyer will be drafting the script.
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times’ Hero Complex blog, Nolan said:
“It’s very exciting, we have a fantastic story,” Christopher Nolan said while sipping tea in the sleek editing suite that fills the converted garage adjacent to his Hollywood home. “And we feel we can do it right. We know the milieu, if you will, we know the genre and how to get it done right.” …
The Internet flurry that included reports that, according to [Nolan's wife and producer, Emma] Thomas, might be better described as fan fiction. The dispatches revealing that the film will be called “Man of Steel” ? and feature Lex Luthor and Brainiac? Or the one about it being a period piece with something like a low-fi version of the hero?

I love The Last Airbender, and am a fan since the beginning. When I heard like two years ago that there would be a movie I never expected that it would look so great. I hope everything goes well and we get the four seasons
What do you think of this? Are you a fan? What would you ask M. Night Shaymalan?
As a comic, Marvel and DC fan I think that these two (Spider-Man and Superman) are those stories that shouldn’t have more sequels/remakes. For one, poor Peter will never get to be really happy with M.J, a musical is kinda crazy. Spidy swinging and singing from one building to the others, just doesn’t go. And two, Superman will always be remembered as Christopher Reeve. It’s hard to fill the role of these two characters (Superman and Lois) and the story as it is, is good. The cartoon was good, the TV shows and previews movies were good, no more please. Instead, give us more Batman, that one for some reason does good if you change the actor
What do you think of the Spider-man Musical? What do you think of another Superman film?

And we also have some interesting facts of some of the comics, people would pay millions for.
$100 K for a single comic book?
www.kmox.com: They may be called “comics”, but the money they’re generating at auction is no laughing matter.
They’re halfway through a 2-day event at Ameristar Casino being conducted by Mound City Auctions, and auctioneer Rob Weiman, who calls himself “Rob Lite” because his father is also named Rob (or “Rob Classic”), reports that on Sunday, they sold a copy of “X-Men #1″ for $101,000.
A copy of “Avengers #1″ sold for $62,000, and Weiman says the total haul from Session 1 topped $490,000.
On Monday, it’s more of the same.
“Justice League of America #1 graded at 8.5 (on a scale of 10)…that one we’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about from the guys who’ve been here to buy them,” Weiman says. “I would say that one might go for as much as $30,000.”
But the big fisn in today’s lot is expected to be a copy of “Amazing Fantasy #15″, coveted by collectors because it’s the first appearance of Spider-Man.
Even though it’s only rated 8 out of 10 in part because it has some “off-white pages”, Weiman anticipates the final selling price to be between $50,000 and $80,000, if not higher.

Wow, all that money for comics, but I guess other people would pay money like that for other things. Hmm, I don’t know how much money I would pay for the last number of “Batman: Hush” ;) Is there something that you would pay millions for?
