‘Vampire Diaries’ Paul Wesley Teases: Katherine Is Capable of Pulling Stefan Away From Elena

With all the hooplah surrounding Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) feelings for Katherine (Nina Dobrev) on “Vampire Diaries”, it’s sometimes easy to forget that he wasn’t the only Salvatore brother to fall prey to her charms.

While Stefan (Paul Wesley) may claim to be madly in love with Elena, once upon a time he only had eyes for her…um, look-alike. So obviously, we couldn’t help but wonder how Katherine’s return would affect him. Our interest was really peaked though when we caught a season two preview clip at Comic-Con, in which Katherine tells Stefan she loves him, only to stab him right after (hey, love hurts right?).

“So, she tells me she loves me and then stabs me — what’s going on there?,” Paul said. That’s what we’d like to know!

‘Torchwood’ lines up U.S. writers for 2011 Starz run

Season 4 of racy British sci-fi series “Torchwood” looks to be more Americanized than originally thought. Following the BBC’s deal to co-produce the 2011 return with U.S. cable network Starz, creator Russell T. Davies is now working with several American TV writers to help script the 10-episode order.

The Chicago Tribune reports that three new writers come from the U.S. and each has an impressive sci-fi pedigree. Doris Egan (“House,” “Tru Calling”), Jane Espenson (“Battlestar Galactica,” “Buffy,” “Caprica”) and John Shiban (“Breaking Bad,” “Supernatural,” “The X-Files”) will all write episodes in the coming season, in addition to Davies and “Torchwood” alum John Fay.

He is best known for his roles as Stefan Salvatore in the TV series ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and as Aaron Corbett in the miniseries ‘Fallen’. He has had a number of roles on shows, too – like in ’24′, ‘American Dreams’, ‘Everwood’, ‘Smallville’ and ‘Wolf Lake’.

Alan Ball and his writing team on ‘True Blood’ celebrated Emmy nomination with Starbucks

“True Blood” is done with Season Three, so when the news came down that the HBO vampire drama had earned its first nomination for outstanding drama, the writers were all alone.

“We’re breaking Season 4, so I’m with the writers and we had a celebratory round of Starbucks,” said creator and executive producer Alan Ball. “It’s such a great time for television right now. There are so many great, amazing television series on. To be considered part of that by your peers is really gratifying.”

It could be worse. A report could be going around that Paul Wesley will embark on a rap career.

But that’s not the kind of story his Vampire Diaries costar Nina Dobrev is trying to spread. And after hearing the reasons, we can’t help but wonder if there isn’t some truth to those vampire rumors…

“First, I have fangs,” Paul explained at the Monte Carlo TV Fest. “Second, I am kind of an insomniac. And third, in the first season, I was always able to beat everyone to wherever they were going even though they left before me. Somehow I’d get there ahead of them and I’d be standing there in a black rain coat. And they were like, ‘How’d you do that? How did you get here so fast?’ And so I started playing on that and purposely started trying to do things to freak them out a little,” he joked.

‘VAMPIRE DIARIES’ STARS AMONG MONTE CARLO TV FEST ATTENDEES

Monte Carlo TV Festival this year has been kicked off with a number of celebrities attending the opening ceremony. The first day of the annual event saw Paul Wesley and his “The Vampire Diaries” co-stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder gracing the red carpet for a press photo call.

At the festival held in Monaco, they each took turns making a pairing combination. While Paul and Nina looked camera-ready, Ian appeared scruffy and unkempt. The three of them were fresh from promoting the CW series in London last week.

Striking and lovely as always. I have to admit though, I didn’t realize Monte Carlo had a tv fest!

Vampire Diaries Season 2 CW

‘Vampire Diaries” season 2 is set to premiere in September 2010 on the CW. And after last night’s jaw dropping episode we expect fans of the hit series to start praying for fall to arrive fast so season 2 can premiere and answer the burning questions that they are left with such as:
can you believe Katherine killed Jonathon (David Anders)? What will Katherine’s next move be now that she has so much blood on her hands?

Vampire Diaries Star Secretly Wed

-At last night’s Young Hollywood Awards, Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley let it slip that he’s married to One Tree Hill‘s Torrey DeVito (aka – the crazy nanny).

We’re told by his reps that Paul, in fact, was just “joking” — and that he and the young woman, actress Torrey DeVitto, are “neither engaged nor married.” What makes things more confusing is that Torrey wears a beautiful ring on the finger normally reserved for a wedding band — but it’s just “a promise ring.”
