This week’s poll is centered around the New Moon soundtrack! I picked few of the bigger songs from the list, and we want to know which of them is your favorite? Have you already learned all the words to that song, memorized the video, etc. ?
“Which is your favorite song from the New Moon soundtrack?”
- Meet Me On The Equinox – Death Cab For Cutie
- Satellite Heart – Anya Marina
- I Belong To You [New Moon Remix] – Muse
- A White Demon Love Song – The Killers
- Slow Life [with Victoria Legrand] – Grizzly Bears
- Friends – Band Of Skulls
- NONE – Like Twilight soundtrack better!
I voted for ‘NONE’ and please don’t kill me!! Well first off all, I’m not too familiar with the soundtrack yet and it’s hard for me to pick one, because I need to hear it up against the scenes in the movie. Also, I think Twilight’s soundtrack was esqusite, all the songs made perfect sense, and were beautiful to the movie and mood.

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE VIDEO DETAILS FOR MEET ME ON THE EQUINOX, NEW MOON SOUNDTRACK
Author: Dawn | Filed under: Movie News, News BlogBooks on Film ExaminerConnie Ann Kirk:
Death Cab for Cutie guitarist, Chris Walla, talked with MTV News recently about the concept for the music video of “Meet Me on the Equinox,” the first announced single off the forthcoming The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack.
Their first thought, to include cameos with the New Moon cast, quickly deflated to a more realistic but still creative concept. Mr. Walla explained from the set:
“The whole idea behind the video is that this house that we’re in, this crazy ski lodge of a building here, it’s going to get cut together with scenes from the film, sort of like it’s a place that might be in Forks, sort of a place that might be next door to Bella’s house or something,”

Yeah, not thrilled with this idea. It doesn’t sound very New Moon related at all.
What do you think? Yay or Nay? Why?
NEW MOON SOUNDTRACK DETAILS
Author: Dawn | Filed under: Author News, Movie News, News Blogetonline.com has exclusive details on the New Moon soundtrack:
The first single for ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ soundtrack has officially been confirmed, according to ‘Twilight’ author Stephenie Meyer‘s blog.
Indie band Death Cab for Cutie – fronted by Ben Gibbard, fiancee to actress Zooey Deschanel — has written a song exclusively for the vampire sequel titled “Meet Me On the Equinox” and will debut the single live at the MTV VMA Awards on September 13, music Web site Pitchfork.com reports.
Meyer’s posted a statement from the Seattle based band on her blog describing the single: “We are very excited to be a part of this amazing series of novels set in our own backyard. It just seemed a perfect synergy that a band from the Northwest would create a song for a series of novels set in the Northwest.
We wrote ‘Meet Me On the Equinox’ to reflect the celestial themes and motifs that run throughout the ‘Twilight’ series and we wanted to capture that desperate feeling of endings and beginnings that so strongly affect the main characters. This song marks the first attempt that Death Cab for Cutie has ever made at contributing new, unreleased material for a film and we are proud to be a part of the ‘Twilight’ legacy.”
