“NEW MOON” DVD SPECIAL FEATURES FROM ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT

Entertainment Tonight recently aired and posted over six minutes of behind-the-scenes footage that will be featured on the “New Moon” DVD that hits stores on Saturday, March 20.   The clip includes filming of the confrontation in the rain between Bella and Jacob, the breakup scene in the woods (complete with there challenges with mosquitoes and airplanes), the scene between them right before Bella goes to Italy to save Edward, and more.

KRISTEN STEWART TO APPEAR ON JIMMY FALLON TONIGHT

Tune in to Jimmy Fallon tonight to see Kristen Stewart on the show to promote her upcoming film, “The Runaways”.  Her co-star, Robert Pattinson, appeared on the show a couple of weeks ago to promote “Remember Me” and took part in one of Fallon’s “Robert Is Bothered” sketches.  It will be interesting to see if Fallon has Kristen take part in anything other than the standard interview.  Honestly, I would love for him to do another “Robert Is Bothered” sketch with Kristen playing the part of Bella in it.

EW REPORTS THAT SUMMIT IS LOOKING AT OSCAR-WINNING DIRECTORS FOR “BREAKING DAWN”

from EW.com:

Summit is trying to up its pedigree for its big-screen adaptation of the final installment of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. Sources tell EW that the studio has reached out to at least three top-notch directors, including Sofia Coppola (Lost in Translation), Gus Van Sant (Milk), and Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) to gauge their interest in what is likely to be two movies. (Van Sant’s reps confirmed that he’s been approached, but Coppola and Condon’s people didn’t return phone calls by press time. Summit declined to comment.)

No decisions are likely to be made until the studio delivers screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg’s detailed outline to the directors. That should happen sometime next week.

EW also has a poll where fans can vote between the three directors to express their preference (not that it really has any bearing on the outcome, but it’s interesting nonetheless).  Click here for the poll.

TWILIGHT: THE GRAPHIC NOVEL RELEASED

from heraldsun.com.au:

Twilight fans now have an addition for their collection, with the first volume in the graphic novel adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s books hitting Australian stores today.

The hardback graphic novel, with selected text from Twilight, will be published in two volumes in order to span the length of the original book, with a release date for the second volume still to be announced.

Meyer has played a key role in the production of the graphic novel, consulting with Korean artist Young Kim on every panel.

The result is a beautiful rendition of one of the most successful publishing phenomenons in the world, with Kim’s black and white artwork highlighted by the strategic use of colour panels throughout the book in what the publishers describe as “a rare fusion of Asian and Western comic techniques”.

ALEX MERAZ AND A ROBERT PATTINSON BLOW-UP DOLL

Just when you think that the Twilight merchandise can’t get any more weird or tacky, someone inevitably proves you wrong.  MTV.com recently posted a photo taken and Twittered by Alex Meraz at a TwiCon over the weekend of a Robert Pattinson blow-up doll.   Take a look and see what you think…disturbing or not?

Seeing these little clips of footage from the DVD is making me all the more ready to get my greedy little hands on a copy of it so that I can see all of the extras.  I am especially looking forward to the deleted and extended scenes to see what didn’t make it into the film, but it’s very interesting to see what went into the making of the film.

As I mentioned above, I really hope that Kristen does something extra on Jimmy Fallon tonight.  She was mighty impressive during her visit to promote “New Moon” when she broke the plates by throwing a football at them.  I’m looking forward to tonight’s episode.

Will you vote in the EW poll for the “Breaking Dawn” director prospects?  Who is your choice among the three?

Are you going to pick up a copy of the graphic novel?  It looks really cool.  I may have to go get a copy for myself and my ever-growing Twilight collection.

The Robert/Edward blow-up doll made me laugh out loud when I saw that and I just had to share it with you.  I’m not scared to go on record as saying that I find it to be on the weird side of things.  What do you think?

Do you own or run a Robert or Twilight site and/or a related blog? Do you run a Twitter or a Facebook fan page or group? Do you want to see the movie Remember Me open as big as possible the weekend of March 12 and you’d like to do something to help that happen?

We need your help!
And we need it TODAY!

As some of you might already know, we started a campaign to help the film Remember Me called Remember Me Saturday. The basic plan is to push for this National Fan Event on Saturday, March 13th due to the fact that Friday and Saturday are the days weekend box office estimates are based on. Sunday still counts, of course, but for perception and reporting, Friday and Saturday are the golden days. Seeing as every fan will already be seeing Remember Me on Friday, Saturday became the day chosen to hold this fan campaign and try to make a difference with the box office receipts.

Tonight on TV: Jimmy Fallon celebrates his one-year anniversary

A lot has happened to late-night TV in the last year. Though many headlines have focused on gossip and scandal, at least one positive development has come from it all: Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night hosting gig.

Some viewers may have been doubtful at first, but Late Night with Jimmy Fallon has emerged as a spot for fresh comedy bits, cool musical guests and nightly surprises. Tonight Fallon celebrates his one-year anniversary with a few big-name guests.

First up is Robert Pattinson, who Fallon has parodied several times in the funny Late Night series “Robert is Bothered.” Here’s what Jimmy-Robert had to say about Valentine’s Day:

Fallon will also chat with 30 Rock’s Judah Friedlander and premiere the second installment of Late, the show’s Lost parody.

As for tonight’s musical guest, that might be the best part: It’s Hall and Oates. Late Night with Jimmy Fallon airs at 12:35 a.m. Congrats to all on a successful (and scandal-free) year.
