Ever is 16 years old when the story begins. She is the typical beautiful beach girl; she is tall, lean, and blonde with deep blue eyes. All that is because our main character is psychic and can read people’s aura.

Ever was involved in a car crash that killed her little sister Riley, both her parents and her golden retriever Buttercup. Name: Lucinda Prince

Physical Traits: Luce has had many different lifetimes talked about in Fallen, but the present life she is in; Luce has chopped off her long thick black silky hair. Her hair now resembles more of a do-it-yourself pixie cut.  She is a lean figure, with soft curves. She has very light skin tone, and seems very frail.

Summary:
Luce shows a lot of characteristics that many young girls in love. Like the anxiety that comes with being around the person who gives your stomach butterflies, getting trapped in your fantasies and then feeling immense embarrassment when you are caught by him. Even to her stubborn hard-headed ways, she is unrelenting when it comes to Daniel, even in the beginning when he treats her like dirt. She never gives up, and she fights to figure out the truth, and make Daniel see that there is and always has been a connection between them.

Luce is a very loyal friend, and sometimes she can trust the wrong people. We see some of the sticky situations she gets herself into with Cam, Molly, and Miss Sophia. But that is what you must love about Luce, her willingness to not only be kind to people, but expect them to be normal human beings, this is a quality that NOT many young women have, this makes her unique.

Rick Riordan has brought new light to a very old popular myth; that is several myths. He has re-introduced us to the exciting world of Greek Mythology. In a 5 book series, Rick creates a demigod hero that is very similar to Harry Potter, in that he is extremely loyal and brave. Throughout the series, Rick explores all the myths we have been reading about for centuries, but he created a modern twist and added interesting up-to-date characters. This widely popular series has made the move into film, back in Feb Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief hit theaters (book 1). So the success of his novels have soared because a whole new audience has been reached through the visually dynamic film.

Here at OBS we loved Percy and his story, so much that back in March ‘The Lightening Thief’ was the book discussed in our monthly YA book club. During this time, we discussed every chapter with summaries and questions, as well as brought you fun information: about the Greek myths, book vs. movie article, character profiles (demigods), the official movie review, Top 5/10 Lists, Greek Mythology histories in literature & movies, and all so much more.
