Chapter 22 – The Prophecy Comes True
Percy, Annabeth and Grover we treated to a warm welcome back at Half-Blood Hill and there was a big feast in their honor, for they were now heroes.
After week after Percy arrived back at the camp, his mother told him Gabe had left mysteriously and probably would never return. She wrote him a note she had found a boarding school in the city and he could move back with her if he chose.
During Fourth of July Grover said his goodbyes to his friends, although he could not say where he was going.
At the end of summer, Percy was still unsure about the prophecy and what the Oracle stated. He still hadn’t made up his mind about where to live. One day while training, he noticed Luke’s sword was odd. Luke tells him it can work on mortal and immortals alike. Luke invites Percy to a chat when he informs Percy he is leaving.

Chapter 21 – I Settle My Tab
The news of the Santa Monica Pier incident and Percy’s kidnapping was covered up nicely by the media and Percy was no longer perceived as an international criminal.
Annabeth, Percy and Grover fly back to New York. They split up and Percy heads to the Empire State Building. At the security desk, Percy shows the guard the bolt and requests to be taken up to see Zeus.
Percy states his case before Zeus and Poseidon. He also tells them he feels there was someone else besides Hades who was responsible for everything and explains why. Zeus let’s Percy live and tells him not to cause such commotions again and disappears. Poseidon and Percy believe Kronos the King of Titans is to blame for causing the war. Poseidon then tells Percy his mother has returned and he will find a package when he returns home.

Chapter 19 – We Found Out the Truth, Sort of
They arrive at the Field of Asphodel with millions of the undead roaming in the darkness.
They walk deeper into Asphodel when Grover’s sneakers sprout wings and lift him up. His magic words have no effect. Annabeth and Percy followed him as he was dragged through a tunnel towards a chasm, the place in Percy’s dream. One sneaker finally came loose and Percy and Annabeth helped Grover to stop.
They return their course and enter the house of Hades. Hades tells Percy he is brave to come. Percy tells him he has two requests. He explains a war among god would be very bad and asks for Zeus’s master bolt so he can carry it to Olympus. Hades tells him that Percy is the thief, and he stole the bolt on the Winter Solstice and wants Percy to return his helm or he will stop death.
