Robert Pattinson wax figure announced by Madame Tussauds in London
Ask and ye shall receive . . . at least that appears to be the sentiment when it comes to seeing The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Remember Me star Robert Pattinson in a wax figure sort of state.
Madame Tussauds, a famed international celebrity wax museum chain, has announced that their London venue will play host to a brand new sculpture of Robert Pattinson himself . . . and that this was by popular demand.
The studios team are busy recreating R-Pattz’s trademark sultry expression and messy hair, whilst the figure’s outfit will reflect his rugged style with an open collared shirt and skinny trousers. The figure making process takes four months of intense work to complete at a cost of £150,000.
Pretty pricey monument, eh?
Tussauds goes on to state that they “have been inundated by requests to make him at Madame Tussauds London.”
The company reports an estimated availability schedule of April for the product. SOURCE
Summit replaces editor on ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’
Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the uber-successful Twilight series, confirmed this morning that it has replaced Eclipse editor Art Jones with Nancy Richardson, the editor of Catherine Hardwicke’s original Twilight film. The studio is not placing blame on Jones, who previously worked with Eclipse director David Slade on his horror film 30 Days of Night as well as Slade’s Ellen Page-starrer Hard Candy. They do believe, however, that Slade’s material – which they call “very good” – needed a stronger edit. The studio has more confidence in Richardson, who they say understands the emotion of the characters and is an ace at balancing action with the other elements of the film.
Richardson recently completed Miley Cyrus’ upcoming romantic drama The Last Song. Eclipse is scheduled to debut on June 30. SOURCE
‘Remember Me’ Stars Rave About Robert Pattinson At NYC Premiere
NEW YORK — The mountains of snow piled up on the sidewalks could not keep Robert Pattinson’s fans at bay Monday evening (March 1) at the red-carpet premiere for his romantic drama, “Remember Me.” The screaming masses lined up early and were gifted with a few moments of rabid OME-dom as RPattz ran down the line greeting all those who waited to catch a glimpse of him.
Inside the makeshift press tent at the Paris Theatre in midtown, the energy was no less wild, the screams of folks waiting to talk with Pattinson no less ear-piercing. But the 23-year-old superstar, tired yet amused as ever by the pandemonium, seemed to take it all in stride. While MTV News was chatting with his co-star Emilie de Ravin, Pattinson leaned over and shouted, “Emilie! Emilie! What’s the most fascinating thing about me? Just say it!”

‘Twilight’ Star Kellan Lutz ‘Wouldn’t Want To See’ ‘Breaking Dawn’ In 3-D
Kristen Stewart gave it a maybe. Robert Pattinson thinks it might give him a headache. So what does Kellan Lutz think about the idea of releasing “Breaking Dawn” in 3-D, when (or if) it’s made? Well, he’s not too keen on the idea.
“I heard they were talking about it. I don’t really care to see it in 3-D,” he told MTV News on the red carpet at Cosmopolitan magazine’s 2010 Fun Fearless Males party on Monday night in New York City.
Like Pattinson, Lutz isn’t a big fan of movies filmed in multiple dimensions. “3-D kind of hurts my eyes anyways. ‘Avatar’ was amazing in 3-D and in IMAX, but I don’t think I wanna see a little baby half-vampire in 3-D,” he said, echoing a similar sentiment made by Stewart. “There’s just some scenes I just wouldn’t want to see in 3-D.”
And with no formal announcement that more movies will be shot from the “Twilight Saga,” Lutz is in favor of breaking the book up into two flicks with “New Moon” helmer Chris Weitz back in the director’s chair, if the film should get the green light. “I’d love to see Chris Weitz come back,” he said late last year. “I just had so much fun shooting with him. I mean, obviously I would just love to do ['Breaking Dawn']. There’s no word. … Hopefully we get that phone call, and if they want to make it into five movies, I just don’t want it to end. I love my character so much.”
I wonder how Rob feels with having himself made into a wax figure? I mean this totally means he as ‘made it’ but the wax figure thing really creeps me out!
I love the natural chemistry that Emilie and Rob share, I can’t wait to see how it is portrayed on film!!
What do you think about Summit changing the editor for ‘Eclipse’?
What do you think about Breaking Dawn possibly being in 3-D? I don’t know how I would feel about that. I think for the forest scences when Bella is first discovering her vampire-powers that would be cool, but other than that I cant’ imagine any other scenes needing to be 3-D.

Local band scores hit with ‘Twilight’ music video
It’s likely that Brooke Seely had no idea what she would inspire when she got in line for the latest “Twilight” movie.
Her mother, Robin Vaughn, says Brooke was the first in line for the local premier of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.” Brooke’s husband, Mike Seely, says it was that simple act of standing in line all day for a movie that inspired a song and music video that has garnered more than 260,000 views on YouTube in less than three weeks: “Twilight (What Have You Done to My Wife?).”
Performed by Mike’s band, Shallow Day, the song has become an Internet sensation as both “Twilight” fans and haters e-mail links to the YouTube video and post it on their Facebook pages.
Drummer Wes Vaughn, Brooke’s brother, says it’s “weird” to see his band with the 11th most-viewed music video in Sweden. It has also seen significant views in places as diverse as India and Australia since it went viral. MORE HERE
Robert Pattinson Reveals Breaking Dawn a Logistical Challenge
Although Twilight and New Moon fans of Robert Pattinson are eagerly awaiting The Twilight Saga Eclipse before Breaking Dawn, much Twilight talk has centered around the final Twilight Saga movie, Breaking Dawn, well before the Stephenie Meyer penned franchise winds down. Twilight and New Moon star Robert Pattinson recently spoke of Breaking Dawn and shared his hopes for the last Twilight movie, or “movies”, as some believe.
According to MTV UK, New Moon actor Robert Pattinson is in the dark about Breaking Dawn just like fans, which also includes Twilight Saga co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. In “recent interviews”, as quoted by MTV, Robert Pattinson is obviously looking forward to Breaking Dawn for logistical reasons. “It will be strange,” admitted Pattinson, “but it will be great just to be able to know what I’m doing. Not knowing when Breaking Dawn is going to shoot- because it changes all the time- is a kind of burden, to have this thing where you don’t know when it’s going to happen.”
Ahead of Breaking Dawn, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner have kept themselves busy beyond The Twilight Saga with other roles. But Robert Pattinson also revealed that with Breaking Dawn up in the air, it’s hard to schedule around the final Twilight Saga film when no one knows the status of Breaking Dawn. “So you’ve got to organize everything in your life around that and that can be difficult. TWILIGHT SAGA NEWS FOR FEBRUARY 9TH
Author: ifellhard | Filed under: Movie News, News Blog
CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY TO STUDY THE ‘TWILIGHT’ SERIES
from examiner.com:According to the BBC, the Twilight series’ heavy impact upon this generation’s youth (as well as that of other series such as Harry Potter and other industries like video games, comic books, and more) is a useful study tool for understanding children.
“Academics argue that books, films and other media, reach children in a way that their teachers and parents cannot.”
The series is thusly to be incorporated into a new set of curriculum for Cambridge University’s Faculty of Education.
TOM FELTON TO STAR IN ‘THE APPARITION’ WITH ASHLEY GREENE
from mtv.com:Shock Till You Drop announced today that the man best known for playing Harry Potter’s archnemesis Draco Malfoy will take his first leading role as the main character, Patrick. We’re assuming Ashley Greene is playing his girlfriend, a character named Kelly in this film, while Sebastian is playing postgrad Ben who’s trying to figure out what to do next with his life.
This will be Tom’s first big foray into the American film industry beyond his role in “Harry Potter.” We’re guessing filming on “Deathly Hallows” has already wrapped, if not in the process, for Tom to be taking on such a leading role.
ROBERT PATTINSON ON ‘BREAKING DAWN’ PROSPECTIVE FILMING DATES
from ontheflix.com:Robert Pattinson said possible Twilight ‘Breaking Dawn’ film is a burden. According to the Daily Record over in the UK, “Twilight Saga” movie star, Robert Pattinson feels a little burdened these days by the possibility of having to film the 4th installment of the popular movie series entitled, “Breaking Dawn.” They recently interviewed him,and he said that it’s burdening because he’s not sure when it will begin filming, and he has a very big schedule that he would have to work around to do it.
He stated, “It will be strange but it will be great just to be able to know what I’m doing. Not knowing when Breaking Dawn is going to shoot – because it changes all the time – is a kind of burden, to have this thing where you don’t know when it’s going to happen. So you’ve got to organize everything in your life around that and that can be difficult.”
‘NEW MOON’ TEAM UNVEILS CGI TRICKS
from thecrimson.com:
Many fans of the popular “Twilight” saga and its film franchise would like to maintain the illusion that the Cullens’ sparkling diamond-like skin is merely an unfortunate sun-induced vampire affliction, or that Taylor Lautner’s transformation into a werewolf in the film version of “New Moon” is a manifestation of a Quilete tribe member’s coming-of-age in a troubled, vampire-ridden world.
However, the mystical, supernatural feats depicted in the grossly popular “Twilight” movies, based on Stephanie Meyer’s novels, can be attributed to one equation that is applied each time a digital effect is added to a film:
O = A x M + B x (1 x M)
Or in other words, the over-composite image—the final cohesive shot one sees—is equal to a combination of two or more constituent images—digital and film stills—layered together.
TWILIGHT FANS UNITE FOR CHARITY
Have you heard about the Twhihards4Charity organization yet? Peter Facinelli has already tied his name to the worthy cause and their quest to help with Haitian earthquake relief efforts. According to their website, their mission is as follows:
Twihards4Charity is about uniting the millions of Twilight fans and putting their power towards making a difference where it’s needed the most. We are connecting brands, sponsors and celebrities to provide Twilight-themed products that you love to benefit charity.
They currently have a Twilight-themed deal with 1-800-Flowers.com where $5 of each purchase goes to help with the relief efforts in Haiti. Be sure to send the link to your Valentine and drop a big hint!
TAYLOR LAUTNER TALKS BIRTHDAY PLANS
from accesshollywood.com:
Cougars rejoice! “Twilight Saga” star Taylor Lautner turns 18 later this week on Friday, February 12 – but Hollywood hottest leading teen star told Access Hollywood that he’s planning to keep his celebration simple now that he’s almost an adult.
Access’ Shaun Robinson caught up with the birthday boy at the “Valentine’s Day” premiere in LA on Monday night.
“What do you have planned for you 18th birthday?” Shaun asked.
“Absolutely nothing really,” Taylor told Access. “I mean, I’ll spend time with family and friends… I don’t like to do anything huge, but it is 18, so, it’s kind of a big one I guess.”
ANOTHER ‘TWILIGHT’ LAWSUIT
from tmz.com:Here’s the short story. Summit is releasing a “Twilight” documentary on DVD next month to correspond with the DVD release of “New Moon.” The documentary cover features the title, “Twilight in Forks: The Saga of the Real Town,” along with an image of a moonlit forest of trees. The back cover features photos of Bella’s truck and the “Welcome” sign in Forks, Washington.
Summit claims the defendant, Topics Entertainment, sent copies of a flyer to Best Buy, Sam’s Club and Target, advertising its own documentary titled, “Forks: Bitten by Twilight.” Summit claims the art on the cover is very similar to the trademarked art and therefore deceptive.
I’m not quite sure what to make of the academic community’s need to analyze “Harry Potter” and “Twilight” to understand children better. Seriously? Obviously, the authors get it because they are wildly successful beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. Does it really require a study? I think that I can save them a lot of time and money…how about the basic premise that we all want someone to love us for who we are – young or old – romantic or platonic?
I’m sure that the stars are getting quite frustrated with not knowing when they will film ‘Breaking Dawn’. That’s got to put a kink in their ability to consider other projects that they might be interested in doing. As a fan, I’m ready to hear a production start date, too!
The CGI stuff sounds really cool. I would love to know what they could have done if they’d had more money to work with – particularly with the wolves.
I love the concept of the twihards4charity site!
Bummer…Access Hollywood stole my crack about cougars rejoicing over Taylor’s upcoming birthday and his removal from the jailbait roster.

KRISTEN STEWART POISED TO BE ‘MISS SUNDANCE 2010′

There are some very hot stars heading for the Sundance Film Festival, held in snowy Park City, Utah, which runs from Thursday, Jan. 21 through the end of the month.
“Gossip Girl” hunk Chace Crawford, Katie Holmes, Dakota Fanning, “Mad Men” star John Hamm, Kate Mara, Malin Akerman, Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba and Julia Robert’s niece, Emma Roberts will be making the trek up the slopes to support their indie films
But “Twilight Saga” star Kristen Stewart has two films at the festival — she plays 80’s rocker Joan Jett in “The Runaways” and a troubled stripper in “Welcome to the Riley’s” — which puts her in the running to be Miss Sundance 2010, according to our cinema scooper Greg Ellwood over at HitFix.com, who also has a great gallery of some of the most hotly anticipated Sundance films.
PETER FACINELLI NERVOUS ABOUT STEAMY SEX SCENES IN ‘BREAKING DAWN’
from momlogic.com:Peter Facinelli, says he wants producers to keep sex scenes in “Breaking Dawn” (the fourth and final film) PG-13 — so his daughter can see the movie! And, for those of you that read the book, you know that when Bella and Edward finally get together, um, it’s anything but PG. “I have a 12-year-old daughter. She’s a fan, and I’d want her not to feel left out or awkward,” says the 37-year-old dad who is married to actress Jennie Garth, adding, “Hopefully it’s a PG-13 type of situation. I’m sure the producers and directors know what they want — and especially what they are doing — but I’m sure they don’t want to alienate fans.”
TWILIGHT STARS’ ROLES FOR 2010
from mtv.com:While the “Twilight Saga” may be giving us some of the biggest blockbusters of its time, most of the series’ stars are indie actors at heart. It’s no surprise, then, that this week’s Sundance Film Festival will unveil three highly anticipated films for Twilighters: “The Runaways,” “Welcome to the Rileys” and “Skateland.”
In 2010, however, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. From blockbusters to indies, quirky love stories to serious dramas, the “Twilight” gang is branching out. With that in mind, here are the top 10 “Twilight”-related movies of 2010 (release dates subject to change, of course). How many will you be lining up to see?
Valentine’s Day – Taylor Lautner – February 12
Remember Me – Robert Pattinson – March 12
The Runaways – Kristen Stewart – March 19
Warrior – Kellan Lutz – TBA
NO RETAILER EXCLUSIVITY FOR ‘NEW MOON’ BLU-RAY
from blu-ray.com:
Summit Entertainment has confirmed that the Blu-ray edition of ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ will have a wide release to all retailers on Saturday, March 20. The first installment, ‘Twilight’, had been released on March 21, 2009, but initially was available in high definition only at Best Buy and Target for a period of six weeks (see blu-ray.com, January 22, 2009).
SEND A LOVE NOTE TO TAYLOR LAUTNER
How would you like to send a love note to Taylor Lautner? The folks at the Grand Rapids Press (Taylor’s hometown in Michigan) are collecting love notes and Valentines for the hunky wolfboy who turns 18 on February 11. They will forward them to his Los Angeles office. They will also run randomly selected notes in the paper and there will also be random drawings for movie passes.
Send your professions of love to:
Mail or drop off your letters to: Valentines for Taylor Lautner, c/o The Grand Rapids Press Entertainment Dept., 155 Michigan St. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
Deadline for entries is January 29.
TWILIGHT INSPIRES CLOTHING LINE
from msn.com:A ‘Twilight’-inspired clothing range is being launched. American fashion label BB Dakota is creating the line after one of its jackets was used in the vampire film. However the canvas coat, worn by Kristen Stewart’s character Bella during a romantic scene with Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen, was not supposed to be used at all. ‘Twilight’ costume designer Wendy Chuck said: ‘I was planning to use the brown hoodie for that sequence but the director of photography hated the fact that her hair and the jacket were both brown and felt she got lost in it.’ Following on from the film, BB Dakota re-branded the coat the ‘Twilight’ jacket and is to carry on its success with a full range this autumn.
ABIGAIL BRESLIN CONFESSES TO BEING A ‘CRAZY, OBSESSED FAN’ OF TWILIGHT
from mtv.com:Hollywood Crush caught a casually dressed Abigail at the New York City premiere of “New Moon” back in November, and Abigail admits she couldn’t be a bigger fan.
“I’m a crazy, obsessed fan. I went to see the first movie on opening day,” she said. “But I felt left out because everyone in the audience had ‘Twilight’ t-shirts and I didn’t. So I have ‘Twilight’ T-shirts now. And have you seen those ‘Twilight’ water bottles? I have one of those…”
ANNA KENDRICK AMONG NOMINEES FOR 2010 BAFTA AWARDS
from celebrity-mania.com:“Up in the Air” has once again brought Anna Kendrick another prestigious awards nomination. On Thursday, January 21, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts has unveiled that the “Twilight Saga” actress is among the nominees for Best Supporting Actress at the 2010 Orange British Academy Film Awards.
The 24-year-old is up against fellow “Up in the Air” star Vera Farmiga. She is also listed alongside Anne-Marie Duff and Kristin Scott Thomas of “Nowhere Boy”, and Mo’Nique of “Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire”. Her nod also gives her drama movie a total of six counts, which also include Best Editing and Best Leading Actor for George Clooney.
I’m looking forward to hearing the reports from Sundance and how everyone receives Kristen’s performances in “Meet the Rileys” and “The Runaways”. I think that she is quite talented and keeps getting a bum rap from the Twilight haters.
I like that Peter Facinelli is concerned about keeping the movies PG13 so that his own kids can see the movies and I’m also impressed by the fact that he doesn’t let his own kids watch just anything. Comments like these speak volumes about the kind of parents that he and Jennie are to their girls.
I thought that the comments from Abigail Breslin were so cute and refreshing. Too many of the actresses in Hollywood are too serious for their own good. I like that she’s just like every other teenager, yet able to tackle serious roles in her films.
Who says that small roles aren’t worth pursuing? Kudos to Anna Kendrick on her BAFTA nomination. Best of luck to Anna and Kristen for their nominations!
Are you looking forward to seeing any (or all) of the upcoming films featuring the Twilight stars? Which one(s)?
Will you be purchasing the Blu-Ray version of New Moon?
Are you going to send a love note to Taylor Lautner? I’m just going to have to pass on that one. Seeing how I’m biologically old enough to be his mother, that’s just a little too creepy for me (and probably illegal in some states).
Have the fashions from the Twilight movies inspired the way that you dress?
