This song reminds me of the situation between Parker and her mom. Parker wants to go home (to her mom), but she can’t bring herself to. So there she lies, broken inside.

 

  • Take me out to the Ball Game

This is a tribute to baseball, which (gasp!) is a sport that I personally am not that big of a fan of. I mean, yeah, it’s okay (go Tigers!), but I’m more of a runner! However, this song’s a classic.

 

  • Here’s to Never Growing Up by Avril Lavigne

Grown up men may be great, but in the end, guys your own age are better. Parker, may you never grow up. May you always stay young. May you be happy forever!

 

  • You Give Love a Bad Name by Bon Jovi

For some reason, this song seems to be popping in my mind lately way too often. It’s everywhere! My neighbors were playing it, my best friend was singing it, and now it’s on this playlist. Some people really do give love a bad name though, as Parker realizes. However, she also realizes that there are people who give love a good name as well.

 

  • I’ll be Waiting by Adele

Some guys will wait for you. Those are the guys that are worth it. They’re the most crushworthy and beautiful guys. Those guys are rare, and they will hopefully discover us just like one discovered Parker. I freaking love Adele. I wonder if Parker would love her though.

 

  • Baggage Claim by Miranda Lambert

Parker has attitude, just like Miranda Lambert does. When she gets mad, the world had better watch out. Miranda’s tired of guys messing with her. So is Parker. I feel like they would be best friends had Parker been a real person. Come on Parker, please come to life!

 

  • Alice by Avril Lavigne

“I, I won’t cry.” Parker is strong. Parker is BEAST. She can run, she can laugh, she can play baseball better than anybody else. She’s going to Vanderbilt anyways! Who says girls can’t relate to Alice?
