TV SHOW NEWS FOR JAN 19TH PUSH SERIES, TRUE BLOOD AND VAMPIE DIARIES

Summit Developing ‘Push’ TV Series

PushSummit Entertainment and E1 Entertainment are developing a TV series based on Push, the science fiction mess released by Summit in February 2009. David Hayter will write the pilot and executive produce, according to the studio press release.

A series comes as a surprise because the movie made only $31.8 million (domestic) for Summit on a budget of $38 million. Not exactly a success or the type of property with a built-in fan base.

“The television series will be an extension of the film, a science fiction thriller, centered on people with paranormal powers who band together to take down a corrupt government agency,” the press release warns.

‘True Blood’ Shocker: An ‘Erotic Connection’ Will Transpire Between Sam And Bill

With Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård), Tara Thornton (Rutina Wesley), Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) and Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis) all getting new love interests this season, it’s not unreasonable to wonder where the romantic action is heading for less-discussed characters like vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and shape-shifter Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell).

As it turns out, however, there is romance in the future for both characters … possibly with each other. “True Blood” creator Alan Ball spoke with Entertainment Weekly to reveal that an “erotic connection” is in the works for Sam and Bill, two of Sookie’s most prominent suitors.

According to Alan, the reasons for the newfound chemistry stem from Bill’s season two decision to heal Sam with a healthy dose of his own vampire blood. As a result, a connection between the two characters arises, one that is “not just any connection, but an erotic connection.”

‘Vampire Diaries’ EXCLUSIVE: Steven R. McQueen On Jeremy’s New Girlfriend And Werewolf Future

At long last, “The Vampire Diaries” is returning! In preparation for Thursday’s first new episode of 2010, Hollywood Crush caught up with Steven R. McQueen, who plays Jeremy on the CW show, to get the scoop on the second half of the show’s season. Steven was tight-lipped about what was going to happen to his character, but here’s what we managed to learn about Jeremy’s future.

It was way back in 2009, but you may recall that earlier in the season, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) pulled his special vampire brainwash-y powers out to erase Jeremy’s memory of his girlfriend Vicki’s death. The catch is, it’s not exactly clear what Damon did. “That’s something that’s going to unfold itself a little later in the series,” Steven said. “[Damon] did erase my pain and my grief and such, but I’m not sure what I can reveal of just how much he shut out of my memory — and if he put anything in there.” (Dun Dun Dun… )

As for those hairy rumors that Jeremy’s going to turn into a werewolf, this is what Steven had to say: “I know in the books, Tyler was the werewolf,” he said. “From script to script, we don’t really know too much ahead of time, but we did hear they might change that up. We’re not 100 percent sure on how that’s shaping to unfold itself.”

I just rented Push today. Do you think it will make a good tv series? Did you see the movie? If so, what did you think?

Umm I’m not too keen on Sam and Vampire Bill having a thing. What do you think?

Hmm, now I wonder what Damon put into Jeremy’s head when he erased his memories. And I’ve been dying to know if Tyler is a werewolf…..
