POST- APOCALYPTIC SCI-FI SURVIVIROS, WEREWOLVES AND JOSS WHEDON

We rank 18 post-apocalyptic sci-fi survivors from best to worst

scifiwire.com: If The Road and 2012 are right, the end of the world is inevitable. The good news is, there’ll always be some badasses who can help us survive in the wasteland that follows.

Here’s a ranking of the post-apocalyptic survivors, from the ones we’d want to hang with to the ones we wouldn’t share a bunker with if the human race depended on it.

10 Pop Culture Werewolves With Bite

www.buzzsugar.com: I already told you that werewolves were the new vampires, and I have evidence in spades: first, news broke that there’s a movie adaptation in the works of wolf romance novel Shiver, and today comes the news that ’80s werewolf thriller The Howling will be remade as The Howling: Reborn. Should Joss be compared to Lucas and Cameron already?

scifiwire.com: The Producers Guild of America announced today that Joss Whedon will be honored with its prestigious 2010 Vanguard Award, joining a list of previous recipients that includes George Lucas, James Cameron and John Lasseter, Deadline Hollywood reported.

“This is an honor I didn’t expect and probably don’t deserve,” he said. “The truth is, I’ve never actually guarded a van. But I am a super-total visionary, so that fits. I’m ready to take my place next to the guys who made THX 1138 and Tin Toy (Did they ever do anything else, btw? They showed such promise.). This is a time of radical change in media delivery and content, and I’m honestly proud the PGA has singled me out as someone who sort of knows what’s going on.”
