The third novella in the West Coast Girlz series – this is Casey’s story. Having just finished the first two novellas, I continued on. Casey (a divorce attorney) gets a request to meet Chase (a judge whom she has been in his courtroom previously) for lunch. When he stands her up…and then denies asking her in the first place, Casey is livid. At this point, my attention in the story has been secured. Why would Chase do that to Casey? And furthermore, why does Casey care?   I found the repartee at the masquerade party enjoyable. And the twist was priceless.   This is a cute, fast paced story about a burgeoning love story. I enjoyed the twists, however, my only complaint of the series…I wanted each story to be longer!!! I quickly became invested in Casey’s plight that the read was just too quick!   While books one and two can be read as stand-alone titles, you will get so much more out of book three if you read the other two novella’s first.
