Now that Halloween is over, the box office is ready for some fun and excitement that will rock your world. It’s a supernatural week in film and I couldn’t be happier with the options.

The Box (Nationwide)

Thriller (PG-13)

(From allmovie.com) Screen siren Cameron Diaz and former X-Man James Marsden star in this supernatural horror directed by Richard Kelly of Donnie Darko fame. The film’s premise involves a strange and ominous box granted to a young couple by a mysterious stranger (Frank Langella). They are informed that pressing various buttons on the box will grant them riches while killing a person unknown to them in the process.

Disney’s A Christmas Carol (Nationwide & IMAX)

Advanture, Family (PG)

Another adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic holiday tale, A Christmas Carol stars the voice acting of Jim Carrey, as Ebenezer Scrooge in this Disney Digital 3-D animated film for all ages.

The Fourth Kind (Nationwide)

Thriller (PG-13)

A fact-based thriller set in the fall of 2000, The Fourth Kind stars Milla Jovoivch as Dr. Abigail Tyler, a Nome, Alaska-based psychotherapist whose videotaped sessions with her patients offer the most compelling evidence of alien abduction ever documented.

The Men Who Stare at Goats (Nationwide)

(From comingsoon.net) Reporter Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor) is in search of his next big story when he encounters Lyn Cassady (George Clooney), a shadowy figure who claims to be part of an experimental U.S. military unit. According to Cassady, the New Earth Army is changing the way wars are fought. A legion of “Warrior Monks” with unparalleled psychic powers can read the enemy’s thoughts, pass through solid walls, and even kill a goat simply by staring at it. Now, the program’s founder, Bill Django (Jeff Bridges), has gone missing and Cassady’s mission is to find him.
