Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 is getting their promotion started with more promo photos being shared and in hopes of creating that buzz. You can see a fresh batch of photos from the movie at the bottom of this post.

I have to say that all of the main cast does not look the same as they did before, but they all are adults now so I guess you can expect that. I sort of hope that they do not release too much too soon. The movie will need to keep some of its appeal by the mystery and not let fans see to much of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 before it’s premier.

Liam Neeson is suiting up to play Admiral Shane in Universal Pictures’ upcoming sci-fi war film “Battleship.”

Inspired by the Hasbro board game of the same name, the movie centers around a battle on land, sea and the sky between Earth’s forces and attacking aliens.

Neeson joins a cast that includes Taylor Kitsch, who plays a naval officer and the admiral’s future son-in-law; model Brooklyn Decker, as the admiral’s daughter; Alexander Skarsgard as a commanding officer and the older brother to Kitsch’s character; and pop-star Rihanna as a weapons analyst on the USS John Paul Jones.

Why Scott Pilgrim is the Best Film this Year

Source: www.guardianforce.co.uk

I did a few posts leading up to Scott Pilgrim when the trailers first came out, I am a big fan of the comics and of Edgar Wright so this whole project seemed like a dream.

Of course however Hollywood’s principle trade is destroying dreams so as I sat down for the pre-feature trailers I can’t deny I was pretty nervous.

I shouldn’t have been, Edgar Wright delivered on so many levels and pretty much put out the best film this year. I realise this is a pretty big statement especially since Inception has just been and gone but stick with me through this, it’s long but it;s more a purpose in getting all my geekgasm feelings out because a week after I saw the film, I’m still buzzing.

DVD Extra: Monster from the id

nterviewing Leslie Nielsen back in the ’80s for one of the “Naked Gun” comedies, I remarked that during his very long career he had appeared on virtually every dramatic TV series of the ’60s and ’70s except one.

“Well, they didn’t want me on ‘Star Trek’ because basically they stole it from ‘Forbidden Planet,’ ” Nielsen said, referring to his landmark 1956 film that not only hugely influenced Gene Roddenberry’s franchise but practically every science fiction film that followed.

“Forbidden Planet” arrives today in a razor-sharp Blu-ray edition derived from the excellent restoration released on HD-DVD in 2006, complete with all of its copious extras including deleted scenes, effects reels and “The Invisible Boy,” a feature spinoff with the breakout star, Robby the Robot, who went on to appear in the TV series “Lost in Space.”

These were comparatively cheesy-looking affairs, unlike “Forbidden Planet,” a major big-budget release that was MGM’s first foray into science-fiction since the part-talkie version of “The Mysterious Island” in 1929. “Forbidden Planet” is among the last films supervised by the studio’s legendary art director, Cedric Gibbons, and its longtime chief set decorator, Edwin B. Willis, and their vision of a distant planet with a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired home and a vast underground infrastructure in the 22nd century was hugely influential.
