Review:

Maple Mayhem is the second installment of a relatively new cozy series. I have to say the first one, Drizzled With Death, made me laugh our loud and wait anxiously for the next book. This one delivers again, with both laughter and a fun filled mystery. Set in Sugar Grove, New Hampshire, maple syrup is a way of life for the citizens of this small town. Dani Greene is a fourth-generation syrup maker with ideas to help all of the syrup producers.

Dani starts a new agricultural cooperative to reduce costs for everyone. Most are on board with the exception of Frank Lemieux – an off the grid hard man. Dani finds herself and the others dealing with a saboteur. She needs answers to keep her idea from being dead in the water before it ever gets started. All roads lead back to Frank. That is until Dani finds Frank dead. Dani, her family, best friend and boyfriend search for answers. And justice.

All of the characters in the Sugar Grove series are beyond entertaining. Ms Crockett has developed characters that keep you laughing, rooting for them and wanting more. Her writing style is entertaining and easy to read. I love this series and can not wait for the next installment and the next and the next. I would recommend this book to any and all cozy lovers. Also to anyone that enjoys a fun and entertaining read and anyone that likes a good mystery. The only thing wrong with this book is that it is over. This is one truly entertaining cozy series. READ IT SOON!
