HOURGLASS BY MYRA MCENTIRE: CASTING COUCH

Brought to you by OBS reviewer Valerie

Hourglass is the story of Emerson, a girl who thinks she’s a tad bit insane because she sees visions of people from the past. Enter Michael Weaver, a guy who she wants to hate, and you’ve got one crazy plot. This one was a blast to cast!

Emerson Cole: This casting took me a long time. Emerson is one of those snarky, sarcastic girls. She also happens to be blonde with green eyes. It took me forever to decide on Aly Michalka. I loved her performance as Marty in Hellcats, so I choose Aly.

Michael Weaver: I can’t think of anyone else who even comes close to having the dark hair, dark eyes and olive skin. I really did not want to go for Taylor Lautner (cliché!), so I chose Tyler Posey.

Ava: I decided to choose Lindsay Lohan. Yes, she may have some problems outside of her acting life, but when she did act, she did her job pretty well. I think she has great auburn hair, as required for playing Ava.

Kaleb Ballard: I think David Henrie is perfect for Kaleb. He just has the right hair, and I guess that’s all that really matters.

Jonathan Landers: I know you probably haven’t heard of Toby Hemingway, but if you’re a Taylor Swift fan like me, he’s the guy in Mine. That’s actually how I decided on him. He looks a little cold, and I know he can definitely do the ominously evil thing.

So, what do you think of my castings? Totally off or kind of close? Think you could do better?
