Some awesome news that blew up today over at the Disney convention currently going on. Guillermo Del Toro is teaming up with Disney to “create new animated films full of chills and thrills for audiences of all ages.” He is launching a new animation label to do this called, Disney Double Dare You.

Since this has just been announced there are no other crazy details to report. Del Toro will be producing all of these animated features, and will also direct a few of the projects. He says the intent of the label is to touch on the scary side of Disney, seemingly alluding to the sensation of evil and chills created by villains in classic Disney animation.

The first animated film to come out of the label will be called, ‘Trollhunters’ which is based on an original idea that he wrote. The movies will all be tied together by “one feature that shall remain secret, but that you shall soon be very familiar with,” del Toro said.
