Social Networks are every where nowadays. With Twitter being one of the newer sites. People from all over Tweet, with Authors being no exemption. Our favorite authors have joined in on the fun. Talking about their books or simply just letting us know what they’re up to. OBS has decided to make it easy on you and list some awesome authors Twitters.

John Scalzi

Is an American author and online writer, best known for his Hugo Award-nominated science fiction novel Old Man’s War, released by Tor Books in January 2005, and for his blog Whatever, at which he has written daily on a number of topics since 1998. He has also written a number of non-fiction books.

David Gallaher

Wrote for Marvel Comics, the New York City Police Department, Moonstone Books, the CBLDF, Harris Publications and McGraw-Hill. His works include Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, Annex, Moonstone Monsters, High Moon, More Fund Comics, Vampirella, and Vampire: The Masquerade. Gallaher’s work is typically characterized as being heavily-researched with an emphasis on staccato dialogue and destructive conclusions.

Mary Robinette Kowal

Is an American author and puppeteer. She also served as art director for Shimmer Magazine and in 2010 was named art director for Weird Tales. She served as secretary of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America for two years, and was elected to the position of SWFA vice-president in 2010. In 2008, her second year of eligibility, she won the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer.

Adrienne Kress

Is a writer and actress born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Inspired by a trip to the town of Bath, Adrienne wrote Alex and the Ironic Gentleman while living in London, England.  Although her first book, Alex, was snapped up almost immediately by publishers around the world.The sequel to the book, Timothy and the Dragon’s Gate, has also been picked up by publishers around the world and was released  in the United States, Canada and the UK and Commonwealth in early 2009.

Melissa Burmester

Is presently living in East Moriches, NY with her twin brother George, her parents and their cat Cosmo. Melissa has been writing about vampires and the supernatural since the age of twelve. She has written a few short stories, but “Ginger High” is her first novel. She is presently attending Westhampton Beach High School, and is planning a career as a writer and a teacher.
