Review:

I knew this was going to be brilliant just by reading the back of the book.  I had to find out more and the story that unfolds was unlike anything else I have read.

Gray paints “Fateful” with atmospheric and heartbreaking stokes.  The main character, Tess Davies, is not your typical Victorian hothouse flower.  She is strong, tough and determined despite the circumstances that surround her.  She finds herself drawn to the handsome, enigmatic Alec Marlowe who harbors a secret that defies conventional thought and reason.  They meet on the ill-fated maiden voyage of the Titanic and find out that they are not so dissimilar at all.

The story sets an exciting pace and leaves the reader anxiously turning page after page just to see what will happen next.  The ending was unexpected and equally satisfying.

I would recommend “Fateful” to anyone who not only enjoys young adult or paranormal romance, but to readers who enjoy a bit of history thrown in for good measure.  I loved every second of reading it.
