BREAKING TWILIGHT SAGA NEWS: BREAKING DAWN RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED!

Summit Entertainment announced earlier today via their official Twitter and Facebook pages that “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” will hit theaters on November 18, 2011.  Various rumors have been swirling with the actors saying that filming will begin in October 2010.  What remains to be seen is whether the film will be done in two installments or distilled down into one film.   If they follow Warner Brothers’ lead with the way that they have handled the final Harry Potter film and end up doing two films, fans could expect to see the last installment sometime in the summer of 2012.

The gap between the release of the first and second installments was around 12 months, with a little over six months between “New Moon” and “Eclipse”.  Fans will have to wait nearly 18 months after “Eclipse” for the next film.

Members of the cast including Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Dakota Fanning will be making an appearance on Oprah on May 13.  Perhaps they will make an announcement on the one or two films question?
